So we all know that WP is a blogging platform but most of us are using it for setting up sites.

But still, some of us post blog posts and when we do, they're posted on the homepage. However, I want to set up a different page and make it as the homepage. I know how to do this. But when I do it, the blog posts are not shown.

I've seen a lot of sites that have a "Blog" page. This is where all the posts go. So even if there is a static page, there is still a clickable Blog page where visitors can access the posts.

Question is - how can I do this? I Googled it and a lot of the tutorials involve changing codes. Is there a simpler way?

    Home Page:
If you set a page to be static then that is the only page that will show up on your blogs homepage. If you deselected this in wordpress your blog posts would re-appear on the homepage.

Install another instance of Wordpress in another folder on your site.

    Example:
    Code:
    yoursite.com/blog <---- Install WP Here.
If your permalinks are /%postname%/, you can just add a page called Blog.

That's how I do it, I think that's what you were talking about.

Create a new page in your dashboard and then go to the area on the right side which says Page Attributes. The second drop down menu is template, click on Blog and you're good to go. Hope that helps.

Thanks for all the suggestions! But I found the easiest way to do it!

    1. Create a new page called "Blog". Click on Publish without doing anything else.
    2. Under "Reading" settings, click on Static Page. For the front page, choose the page that you want to go on the home page. For the posts page, choose the "Blog" page that you made.

    I can't believe it's that simple.
