Since the switch from keyword tool to ad planner, i can't figure out how to set my terms as exact match.

I added the [] and it didn't work. I also read that exact match is default, but when i exported it said broad match in excel.

Type all the keywords in the planner with [] for exact and "for phrase".

    Nope, they're broad.

    You need to:

    1) type keywords
    2) go to either to ad group ideas or keyword ideas
    3) to the right of the ad impr. share you'll see a button with a pencil icon, click it
    4) you'll see the default ticked option is broad match, switch to exact match or whatever pleases you

    Hope this helps.

    Off to bed. Cheers.

Anyone know where the checkbox is for adult recommendations? I get tired of recommendations for toys-r-us and diapers when I'm planning for sex sites. The old tool had a box for adult.

Thank you. Great. You are right. The default is broadmatch. Also, I got a box from G that offered to make that my default choice in future. So I checked it. I hope it works.

They did for awhile..but now, the "old" version is gone and it's just the new planner version...

Took me a while to figure out, but yes exact is default now. Don't understand why people are flipping out about keyword tool being gone, it's just diff. now.
