I looked into this a few years ago.
You need an SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) or use of one. Mail sent from a trusted SMTP (Example: smtp.gmail.com) is more likely to get through spam filters at the receiving inbox. If an SMTP has been abused, that SMTP would become blacklisted by the likes of hotmail, gmail etc. Any mail sent from a blacklisted SMTP is unlikely to get through spam filters.

You can send emails from your computer without the use of an SMTP, you can use port 25. I suggest you read this first as most email clients block port 25 for this reason. Cant put links yet, but add this to the end of wiki's domain without quotes, "/wiki/Anti-spam_techniques"

You may find sendblaster 2. sendblaster.com/
They have a recommended SMTP that you can use. However you have to pay per email.

There ARE other members of this forum that know more about this subject then I, but they aren't here yet.

BTW, when choosing text font colour, please consider contrast.

If you can't search, read this or stick to Hostgator for 500 emails an hour.

I would go with SMTP via shared hosting. using Four domains. Most place allow around 500 emails an hour.

    500 x 24 = 24000

Take those numbers and double up and you should hit 48k. Im sure if you set your mailer to send a little over 500 an hour you should have no problem hitting 50k.. IF you have clean lists and not alot of bounce backs, id be willing to bet w/e host you go with wont even know your breaking 500 and hour.

try to email to 500 people successfully first, then look at hitting 50K-100K successfully. learn to walk before you run.

So you rather get banned after spending 80 bucks than take a link to a link that actually does allow spam. Not to mention they do have cheaper packages at Sendgrid than 80 bucks and that company is totally unsuited for your purposes as you can read here: http://sendgrid.com/docs/User_Guide/sending_practices.html

    Unsubbed, this is pointless. :(

    Not to be a stickler, but 500 x 24 = 12000. Not 24000.

Other than that, the numbers tell the tale. I wrote a topic over a year ago that said something similar.

Actually, if they aren't opt-ins, we're not supposed to talk about it here. I might redact that post if I were you.
