    Hi,

I still have some Dre headsets here, which I would like to sell on Ebay.

I am not interested in people who want to sell them for me. I have had many contacts already with people from here about that, but no one seems to be really serious, so I have given up on that. So, please, do not send me PM's anymore offering to sell my products for me. Thank you very much.

Instead, can somebody please tell me how on earth I can sell the Dr. Dre headsets on Ebay, please?

I have been trying a few times already, but every single time they seem to just remove my listings.
First time I tried it, I got a message after a certain time, saying that I was using a picture of the item that belonged to the Dr. Dre company. Ok, I could understand that, because my first picture was the one that comes up automatically if you let Ebay fill all the details in. So, I guess that was a copyrighted image.

Now, after this, I simply ONLY used MY own pictures that I had taken with MY camera in MY house. And still, after some time, I got my listing removed, and the same message from Ebay, saying I was using copyrighted pictures!

So, I wonder, what is this??? Why are they doing this? I am also listing Bose products, and not getting this problem!
Is there anyone here who knows about this, and who can tell me how to overcome this problem with Ebay?

Thing is, there are still others selling Dr. Dre products on Ebay. And they seem to get away with it.... But, when I check their listings, I really don't see what I'm doing different than them. Especially in terms of pictures. I see listings with the original Ebay-produced pictures, and they seem to stay on.

So, what am I doing wrong? I want to finally be able to sell my stock.

Needless to mention (but I'll do it anyway) : my stock is 100% genuine!

I understand that. But, the problem is not the buyers (ok, using youtube is a good idea which I haven't implemented yet). Only, the problem is Ebay itself, removing my listings. So, nobody can even buy the item from me, even if they were really interested :s

Maybe you're too pro on taking them pictures, try to include your hands on the pictures or try to put some watermarks on it(your ebay username) or include a date. Maybe, just maybe, ebay will see it that it is your pictures.

Otherwise, contact them that your pictures are yours.

    Thanks for the tip!
To be honest, my pictures are as un-pro as they can get! :) There are spots on the boxes, my fingers are on it half of the time, and the reflection is sometimes showing the camera ;)
That's why I was so surprised when they sent me a message that I'm using copyrighted images! :)

Anyway, now I'm fucked for another reason : it seems I have reached the limit of listing this kind of items. (can't even list the Bose headsets because of this) Well, if they remove my listings every time, then of course, this is bound to happen after a certain time :(

I am starting to understand many of the people here who are getting sick and tired of Ebay! :smash:

The rights owner has allowed you to sell these on ebay, that's why they're getting flagged.

Sorry, could you elaborate a little bit on that? I'm not sure I quite understand what you mean

You can try selling them as used. You will get less money from them, but you can say that they are in like new condition and people will still be all over them. It shouldn't be a problem to sell a pair of studios used for $150. At any rate, they will be a lot less likely to be flagged and removed.

Selling them in new condition is only allowed by certain retails that the rights owner authorizes. They do this to control how their products are distributed.

Try selling them as used, but in the description say you're selling as used and the package has never been opened. If you make a good enough listing it won't matter.

Wow, I think that sums the whole thing up! I understand now, I've been wasting my time trying to sell them as new. Ok, so now I'll sell them as used, like you guys are suggesting... Good plan! ;)

Only problem is now that I can't sell anything like that anymore for 30 more days... Damn ebay is counting those tries-in-vain for the count limit! :pat:

Sell it as an auction, then contact the buyers privately and tell them you will let it go for this much (Give them a discount for the reducing the ebay and paypal fees), and do abunch of second chance offers.

I face this problem too! I got the original ones and I want to sell them but the fake product has made people used to cheap beats so I get ridiculous offers.

It's because of the VERO program, as stated above. There are a lot of people counterfeiting them on eBay too and eBay considers it to be a high risk item.

If you want to sell a bunch of them, set up some stealth accounts. Do a search for eBay stealth. You will find a lot of info about it on here and in google & YouTube.

I am going to sell them as used items, like Furious George suggested. That's the only way for not getting them removed by Ebay, I'm pretty sure now.

Meanwhile, I have many more products. So, putting everything on as auction starting at ,99 , with an ending time of 7 days. Listing one product every day, I will get a little bit busy once the first item is sold.
I know it's quite risky to list for €0,99 . But I do some research before I list the item, to make sure that I can sell it for the price I want. Plus, this way I am sure the item gets definitely sold, and it's costing less ;)
I also decide how to list the item according to the language and geo factors. For example: I have a Blackberry with AZERTY keypad. I am selling it on the .fr site in French language, because only Belgium and France use AZERTY , and France has most inhabitants ( I could sell in Dutch language, and reach half of Belgium, but in the Netherlands they don't use AZERTY either, so I'm better off with France)
That's just an example, and you might have to know the region to understand. But I'm sure you get the point.

    Thanks for all the reactions

;) So, maybe your limit for that item is one :p At that pace, by the end of next year you might have sold all of 'em :)

Just joking.. But, I can understand your disbelief. I can also understand why so many people are sick and tired of Ebay, and try other ways. Only, to be honest, I still want someone to show me the better alternative! I haven't found one anyway....

Does not compute.... The advice in this thread is what you'll have to follow, however, there s 0% chance that what you are selling is an authentic product. Simply put, if it was then 1. you're had all the ammo you need because you yourself would be VERO (a verified rights owner), you'd have a receipt/invoice, and you'd have the authorization to sell them as you'd like. Obv the only authorized seller of Dre's are credible companies....

SO don't try to spin a web to us, as we're all black hat.

post as used, in slow increments on aged accounts. best of luck :)

I would say this is your competition in action. Try to pick another product.

Hey there. Thanks for your input :)
Thing is, I do have the real product, but I'm NOT a verified rights owner, because this is not my main business. We have our ways to get our hands on these products, and they are 100% guaranteed the real original products.
I am only able to sell what I have. It's not like I have a steady flow of these products, like the actual dealers.
It's not because we are on a blackhat forum that we are all crooks. I read all the stories of some people here, about selling fake shit. And frankly, I am actually disgusted by those! Just imagine you would be the poor guy buying a shit product for the price of the real one.... I could not even THINK about selling fake stuff to anyone!
Please, I would like to put this in the nicest possible way.. But, do not compare me with any of these f*cked up people who f*ck with normal persons like you and me!
F*ck with government, f*ck with big companies and banks. But, don't f*ck with normal people. That is my statement.
I hope I wasn't disrespectful and didn't offend anyone's feelings. (I got a little carried away, but I wanted to say this... sorry for that :) )

PS: Thanks for the tip. That is indeed the way I'll do it now :) (once Ebay allows me to sell in this category again)
