I thought I would share some basic information on saving a blog when it is reported as spam. Many people are using blogger to do some sort of auto blogging and some times you can trip the anti spam captcha protection within the post. This will instantly stop your auto blogging software from posting new content. This will also work if blogger locks your account for breaking their Tos.
If you haven't seen the message its something like this. "Your blog has been locked and you have 20 days to request a review and unlock your blog."

Now if your spamming you sure don't want to contact blogger and ask that they review your site. So here is what you can due to save your site.

1. Enter the settings of the blog thats on hold and export all your previous post. you will find this option at the top of you settings menu.

2. You should save your template in the layout tab. Also if you have some kinda of java scripts or meta tags copy them into a notepad so you can add them back later. Same goes with any widgets save them to a note pad for later use.

3. Create a new blog and name it whatever you want. In the title field you should start naming it the same as the blog that has been placed on hold.

4. Now start designing the new blog to look identical to your blog thats been placed on hold. Simply go to the settings screen again and this time click import and import all your post into the new blog. This will go really fast and should be very easy to do.

5. click on the layout tab and import your template, also add any meta or java scripts you might have saved to a notepad. Now just finish it all up, add your widgets and any other html that you saved.

6. Go back to your old blog which is on hold and click settings, then in the subcategory hit publishing. Change the url to something other then the one thats there, I just usually add an extra letter and it works. Now enter the captcha and save setting.

7. Jump back on over to your new blog and click settings and publishing again. Now simply enter the url of your old blog into the blogspot address and save setting.

8. Go back to the old blog that you have and delete it. Same way settings and then click delete blog.

Thats it your blog has been unlocked and you can begin auto posting again. Also if Blogger has put a block for breaking their terms it will no longer be a problem. Don't worry this will not hurt your ranking or traffic from search engines.

If you need more help with this just ask.

Your welcome buyadsforfree.

One more thing if your doing auto blogging it's best to stay under 45 post within 24 hrs cause at 50 post you will trip the anti spam protection within blogger.

Sorry guys one more critical step I forgot to mention is when your importing your post dont forget to check mark the automatically publish post box. It will save you a bunch of time having to go through your post and publish them one by one.

Hi Gog

Could we used this feature (import) to mass log content to a blog?

i was actually wondering the same thing. I haven't tried it yet, so I would suggest testing it with some practice blog and account ,not one that you care to much about.

I was thinking of filling up say 100 blogs and exporting them all, then I would import them into one single blog, one that has a high page rank and back links.
Imagine how much content your site would instantly have. If this works google will love you for all the content.

Edit by me:

when I say fill up 100 blogs I mean each blog would have about 45 post each. This way you can do this all in 1 or 2 days since you can post to each blog about 45 times before the spam prevention kicks in. I wouldn't delete the 100 blogs cause I can use the over and over again to do the same technique. Once again I haven't tried this yet, but i'll let everyone know if this works.
