So I got my first ever parking sticker on my windshield. It was about half the size of an A4.
Luckily, the day was raining so when I removed it, it wasn't that hard. I just used an exacto knife
and scraped off the sticker (in a thousand pieces lol).

But if the day had been dry and hot, the sticker would probably have sealed in stronger and taking
it off would have been a PITA.

What are some of the best methods to taking them off? I've heard people say to use things like
windex, alcohol, nail polish remover, or vegetable oil.

I wonder if I pre-prep my windshield (just the corners where they usually stick em) with a light
smear of car wax would make the sticker easy to remove later? Has anyone ever tried that?
The reasoning is because I believe car wax would actually stay on the glass for a very long time
even through rain and snow, and not easy to wipe off. So when the guy places those parking stickers
on there, it might not stick completely to the windshield and makes it easier for me to peel/scrape it off.

This is just theoretical.

Of course, the best method is to simply not park where you are not supposed to park (duh). But still,
sometimes people will just stick em on to piss you off I guess so better to do my homework.

Stop breaking the law, and then breaking the law to avoid paying your fine. Then you won't have to worry about stickers or removing them.

Hot water high pressure power washer.

Problem is not easy to carry around a portable hot water power pressure. Don't have it at home either.

I guess you didn't read properly, yet you still had the urge to itch that scratch and be the smart alec and make this comment LOL.

Blow hot air on the sticker, use a hairdryer.

Any ideas on my theoretical application of applying a light film of car wax on the corner of the windshields? Would that create a thin buffer layer to resist the complete seal of a super sticky sticker, thereby making it easier to remove?

Pick this one up and your worries will be over:

That is one of the best brand machines and the Hotsy brand served me well when I had a business that offered power washing. This one is a little small for real commercial work but will work nicely for your particular situation + you can clean your driveway when it gets dirty too.

Be sure to winterize it if you are in an area where it gets cold or you'll be buying a new heating coil as well as a pump if you do not.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to just pay the fine??

Use petrol to remove the sticker. It acts as a solvent that dissolves the glue.

I remembered after cooking some bacon and leaving the grease in the sink for a day, it would be almost next to impossible to wash off the grease even with soap. The only way it came off was by very hot water and hard scrubbing.

I think I should try and save some bacon grease, smear it on the corners of the windshield where they might put a sticker and I'm sure that it will come off very easily due to the bacon grease LOL.

I'm definitely gonna try that.

NOTE: where I'm parked is not actually illegal nor is it "fineable". We don't get tickets here. Nobody ever gets a parking ticket or fine. It's just one of those annoying stickers they put on your car like once or twice a year to encourage you not to park there. It's not as serious as some of you are making it sound lol.

If it is winter, just toss some hot water, coffee or tea on it, the sticker will just pop right off...

WD-40 is used to remove bumper stickers; it would probably work on parking stickers.
