    Go into the page templates for the theme and remove the lines that insert date and author.

    yea its probably under single.php and they might also be in home.php or other files depending on how your theme is setup.

    As the above poster stated; you need to go through the .php file each page in wp-content/themes/twentyten and comment out the relevant function calls.

    Twentyten uses some nonstandard function names to print the author and date info: the function calls you want to comment out are:

    twentyten_posted_on()
    get_the_author()
    get_author_posts_url()
    get_the_author_meta()
    get_the_date()

    There may be others but you get the idea - just comment out everything to do with the date and the author, and make sure you back up everything up in case something screws up.

    You may also wish to replace each function call with a simple   so the spacing of your layout doesn't get screwed up once the date and author info is no longer being displayed.

    They will occur in each page of your site that has author or date listings eg. single.php, index.php, archive.php, category.php etc. Just take a look at each of the different types of pages on your site, figure out what parts you don't want to show, and then eliminate the function calls that print those bits of data.
