My site got hacked and it had a lot of spam pages which I removed from server but they were indexed before i removed them. So, all of them are still in google SERP. I got webmasters message that I need to remove the 404 pages as they are many in number.

But how do I do it>?

May the Google doesn't re-crawl all the page caches. So the pages can appears in the SERP results.

You can wait for some time once the Google re-crawls all the page caches then it will not appear in the search results.
