I need a help. One of my client's website are highly spammed by last SEO guy. His position is not good now. I check the webmaster tool and see, it has around 15K+(each) links from three article website. Those sites PR is very low and put the link at the footer(May be by the last guy). Now i want to remove those backlinks so how can i do that. I see the Disavow Links of webmaster tool but i didn't use it. For using it, will i just submit the article website url or All pages of the article site.

there is no way to remove backlinks from webmaster tools unless you get them deleted first, once deleted they will naturally decrease in GWT.

I am in a similar situation and I removed the bad links and those sites have actually been re-indexed and yet those links are still showing GWT. How long does it take before they disappear from GWT? It's been over a month and still showing on webmaster tool..
