I need to use a premium theme (SP themes) for a client and I need to get rid of any indications within the code and the theme settings in the WP dashboard back to the original author.

I can remove all visual indications on the site, but I need to know how to completely remove all other references within the code and wp dashboard...theme settings. Can anyone help?

It seems that your theme need to be nulled, removing visual appereance is not enough. Call back home or any tracking code back to the author has different method from theme to the others.

Why would you have to remove all of that?

Are they paying for the development or the design?

They are paying for custom development & design based on a studiopress theme.

Just looks more professional without a reference to a WP theme. It could direct business away from me. This is perfectly normal practice as usually remove the links in the footers, now I just need to remove the reference in the WP admin dashboard (Executive Theme Options..etc)

oh wow. This is completely different.

I'm not sure how exactly... but I know they have functions somewhere in an activation file that "hook" those options on.

I'd find the file that has the activation commands / hooks, and remove the hooks that add it to the dashboard, and then reactivate the theme.

    Maybe this link will help:
