I have a domain name called cheff.com but I need to buy a .au version of the domain and to make matters worse the .au extension has already been taken so I am thinking to buy a domain name like TheCheff.com.au or Cheffs.com.au. If I do buy one of these domains is there a way that I can redirect the old domain name to the new one without breaking the site and also passing the link juice from the old one to the new one?

If there is a way than how?

Depending on what domain registar you're with, you can do it from your domain dashboard.

For instance, I have most of my names with name cheap and redirections are very painless.

My advice would be to contact you're registar's support or live chat and get them to give you a step by step walkthrough.

    Good luck!

I do that with a wildcard redirect using cpanel on my hosting provider.
