So I am pretty sure that most people have heard of same-day fantasy sports sites like fanduel and draftkings. However for those of you who have not heard here is a quick run down.

    1. In fantasy leagues like the ones on yahoo or espn the competition lasts the entire season. This can suck if you have a poor draft or are hit with injuries.

With same day leagues the action takes place in one day. So that means every day you can enter a new "league" and pick your team. So if you are a research junkie you can dominate because you have every player available to you. There is a set salary you need to stay under, so you cant just stack you team with the best players.

    2. Due to the fact that it is based on skill and knowledge it is not considered gambling. Although some states have weird laws that you need to check up on.

    3. Payouts are very quick and from what I have experienced have no limits or minimums. One day I took 2$ out of fanduel and had it within 24 hrs.

    4. There are leagues for many types of sports that are in season.

    5. There are many types of leagues. These include...
Head to head: This is where you play one person, whoever has the most points wins.
Tournament: In these leagues the prizes are huge but you are going against tons of people. I suggest to avoid these at first.
***Favorite*** 50/50 leagues: In these leagues if you place in the top 50% you win. These are good because you can have a solid team and win most times. A solid team does not win all the time in the other leagues.

Now here is how you win:

To start you need to watch sports. If you dont watch sports you wont win. You can do all the research you want but sometimes common sense overcomes research. For example your research may tell you that some scrub player is set to have a big day, but common sense may tel you that the the all-start will do better. This may be because the all star was having a bad week due to a death and his numbers were down. Research wont always tell you that.

You need to find a good format to build rosters with. When I first started I took my salary and evenly split it to all my players. So I had a very well balanced team. Short story I lost. You see when you do the math a well balanced team does not have enough to beat a well crafted team with a few stars, some good players, and a few bargains.

    What are bargains???

They are the players who have a low salary but for some reason are projected to do well. The most common bargains are injury replacements who are coming in for injured starters. Getting starting minutes for their bench salary is a bargain. Other bargains are players who are on a hot streak and who's salary has not been updated.

You may be asking your self. "How the hell am I supposed to figure that out." Well you could try doing all the research your self, which can be very overwhelming. Or let others do it for you! Ding, ding, ding we have a winner.

There are loads of sites or blogs out there that will post there lineups or research findings for you. In some cases it is just to create content for their blog. If you do some googling for an hour or son you will have a good list of sites to use. However I will share to you the site I have found to be the most helpful.

I know what your are thinking. In a few sentences I will put my affiliate link with the hopes you signup and give me my commission. Trust me when I say I have no relation with this site what so ever.

The site is http://rotogrinders.com/ The site is a great place to find some well needed numbers and stats. There is some free stuff that combined with your own research methods may do the trick. There is also some payed content. They charge 50-75$ per sport and site. So if you want to see the incentives for fanduel and baseball that is 75$, baseball on a small site like starstreet is 50$.

Here is the beast part though if you signup for the site with the referral links you get all the incentives and because they have such a big following most sites give more incentive through them. For example you might get a 100% bonus up to a 100$ on deposits, provided you play.

The incentives have everything from algorithm projected line-ups, bargain bin players expert pick, tier player rankings, and more.

So I hop this helped. Remember if you sign up with their links and deposit like 10$ you get all the access for that league. Other wise it is 75$ per sport. They claim it needs to be your first account but I have not tested that.

For the most part I did pretty well. However you do need to remember that it is still "gambling". Let me give you a perfect example. I was in a 50/50 league for 5$. I had done a good amount of research and had a good lineup. On my lineup was Kevin Love who average about 40 fantasy points due to his rebounding and scoring skills. However did not make the top 50% by about 30 points because his game was cancled. Get this his games was canceled because there was smoke in the stadium from a bad generator. WTF!! This shows that no mater how much research you do something dumb like that can happen and shit right on your lineup.

I've done pretty decent on this.

My strategy was just to watch what the NFL announcers said on gameday, they all pick their lineups and I used those with some minor tweaks. I never made millions, but I got at least my money back every time. I actually need to look I think I have around $300 in there.

I've only deposited once for $20
