    Hey fellows!
    I was just wondering on how can I rank some images in Google Search?
    Is there an easy noob way?
    The niche is local and has not so much competition...

    All suggestions are highly appreciated.

    Embed a targeted keyword into an image that you want to rank through HTML code. And add backlinks toward it if necessary.

    Easy or hard to rank an image at Google.... this depends on competition level of a targeted keyword.

    Alt tag and title tag is always beneficial for your image ranking. SE robots read image by alt tag and user read image by its title, so both tag are necessary.

    Alt tags are just one way to let Google know what an image is about. A better way is by creating rich, informative content on every page where you are hosting an image.

    Google takes it's cues for what a photo is about by 'analyzing' the written content on a page, not just reading the alt tags.

    Even adding a short paragraph beneath or next to an image will usually be enough to 'describe' the image for Google. Also, this description serves the user (which is what Google wants anyway), so you are doing your audience a huge favor.

    Just be sure these images are first hosted on your own server, not tinypic/photobucket or other free hosting. Otherwise, none of these ideas will help you rank images.

    A picture might be worth 1,000 words, but only if it gets seen and only if it will benefit your business to rank for image search. If you're using stock images, it's unlikely you'll rank on image search. For obvious reasons Google doesn't want to rank multiple copies of the same image any more than they want to rank multiple copies of the same content.

    Have a look at this thread from BassTrackerBoats - he is doing a mega authority site journey thread but he also linked to this which i missed first time around. Look at the bit about images, it's right on the money and one of those things that make you go, "why didn't I do that before?"

    That the image filename is related to the image?s content;
    That the alt attribute of the image describes the image in a human-friendly way;
    and finally, it also helps if the HTML page?s textual contents as well as the text near the image are related to the image.

    Make your images show up on and rank high on Google:
    Use informative file names
    Use ALT tags
    Use anchor text
    Proximity counts
    Image relevance
    Protect your images

    Along with the image alt tags, try to include keywords in the description of the image, in the image url, in the image file name and title of the page.
