    Hello,

This is my first time using google places. I added my friend's site and completed verfiication etc.

But the problem is, although the site ranks #3 for google results, it's not displayed in first 10 of the places results.

And since the places results appear above the regular results, friend's site is below the fold on the page.

The question is, how can I make the site appear higher on the places results? Preferably #1 :)

    Thanks,

make sure you are using all the categories that the cvompetition is. upload max number of pics, rename the pics with keywords.

Go to animoto .com and create a couple of videos using the pics. create a new youtube account upload the videos from animoto. optimise the youtube channel.

Get your mates site registered on as many free directories as you can, always use the address in the exact same format everywhere. write reviews on relevant review sites and make sure your friend gets people to write reviews on the places pages..don't use the same ip to do this.

If the category isn't too competitive one trick is the get people to search on google using keywords eg. Florist Yourtown then click on your mate's places entry nothing else, leave window open long enough to read it and then close the browser window, this tells google it ws the most relevant, if enough people do it (obviously dont do this from same ip) it can have an impact but if keyword is competitive it's a waste of time. Good luck!

Get an Xrumer or Scrapebox blast done (if you don't have it yourself) for about 10,000 backlinks.

Check here on BST or go to Fiverr. I got a 10,000 2-tier blast (7000 to 1st level sites, 3000 to 2nd level, pointing to money site) for CHEEP, completed in 2 days.

That made a huge difference on a local niche keyword term.
