How to rank Funny videos on YouTube?

Alright Funny videos are like hot cakes. The amount of views it gets is unreal in a very short span of time. I am trying to understand how do they rank their videos so fast. I know unlisted method still work as I used it by myself. But the thing is now that old software doesn't work (301 Pumper). I believe they keep the video in unlisted method and boost up the views and then make it public.

Have you tried looking out for IRL videos. People are re-uploading such videos in mass and ranking it so quick. When I tried to do the same I (LOL) myself. I managed to get some insights from a player who uploads peppa pig cartoon videos. He told me he keeps the video in unlisted method and put it in front page of his youtube channel. Since he has good amount of subscribers, he link that video in his previous videos and in playlist. After getting around 1k views he makes it public and then boom in few days the video gets 400k views (NOTE: I was investigating his channel for 3 days just to see how he manages to rank his videos. Then I contacted him directly by saying "Does Unlisted method still works? Do you use any software to rank your videos. Please help me or guide me on how to rank videos as I'm new to YouTube"). He was really helpful

Three factors:

1) people watch it till the end

2) how long they stay on the video. longer videos watched to the end get extra bonus.

3) the name of the video file you uploaded

4) the description of the file

5) the number of likes it receives per x amount of time. a video with 1000 likes per minute is stronger than 1000 likes in 4 years


This list should give you a start.

So the guy actually shared the method with you so why dont you try the same.
and Funny videos have the capability of getting ranked overnight it all depends on factors that @bartosimpsonio shared and little bit of luck.

The description should be a decent length and contain key information/keywords. Look at some of the more successful channels and see what they do for descriptions and develop a template using your favorite parts of your research. Then use that template for each video being sure to tailor each description to the video. This has helped me some.
