I feel my email list should be bigger. Just a little below 200 for a site started November and was receiving about 100-200 visitors daily from around the world. Its a sports betting tips and predictions website. I also give away free tips here and there and lock them for only subscribers to see.

In the past 10 days, after some seo and list building, I went upto 500-800 visitors daily.
    I rank 1st for 2 key phrases (9,800 and 6,600 searches)
    I rank 2-3 for 2 keyphrases (10,00-14,000)

I have inserted email collection widgets and forms allover the site, yet I am stuck below 200.

    Any ideas?
I read somewhere that I can write a premium ebook, pump it up and create a landing page for it, then take it to clickbank for affiliates to market. From there, they can run it through their lists, then I get signups at least.

Any ideas on how to make this perfect?

The reason I am banking on my email list is because all the VIP premium sales I get occur after sending out a newsletter. People rarely come on their onw to pay.

    Thanks

For example, Dan Lok offered several times a free e-book on his website, driving traffic from his YouTube.

I subscribed on his site and saw a message saying: ebook is coming in 45min (loool)

In the meanwhile take a look at this video or webinar, he done few variations.

You think I got an ebook? Of course not.

Majority will move on, and they will get spammed by Dan, just not directly, obviously.

You need to be in your customer head, and many marketers believe that's an easy part.

Advice is: do simple stuff, provide nothing at start, then start adding some value, compare results.

Basically, just testing tracking and logic.

If you care about your brand, you should still choose the same road.

Sure, I care about the brand and I believe i should be in it long term. Its just that my predictions are going to waste. Same effort it takes to predict matches sent to 1 person and earn $xx can also be used to earn $xx X10.

I just need to grow the list faster. But not by tricking people with non-existent offers. Whatever I promise, i give

So offer them prediction upon subscribing.

After sub, navigate them to do stuff you want, and then release predictions.

Give them prediction. You could setup some auto responder like aweber(they got cool support and 30 days free trial) to cover this.

I am not into this, and you probably want to keep your list busy, but you could just grab them and move on.

You can always re-brand yourself and 301 to another site or use the same list to spam them from your 2nd site (via emails).

If your goal is long email list, then focus there, not on brand etc. Your gold is in emails, right.

Since you might be already happy with your brand, build 2nd site, and start the same shit where goal is emails only.

When you make 20k list or reach your goal, then start sending what they want totally free (to grab attention) and invite them to join where you want (for more free info), make them pay later on.

(just blasting some info that might be valuable to you)

You have a point about 2nd site. Just that in this industry, trust is scarce. Everyone searching for freebie, they rarely trust any website. So it may too much work trying to start a 2nd site and make it trustworthy enough for people to want to pay to it.

What I sell for now are my VIP tips. When my list grows, I can start selling affiliate offers.

Thanks anyway and more clarification still ok
