Backlinks are everything when it comes to SEO, and unfortunately if at any given time a "bad" backlink appears on Google...there's not really a whole lot we can do about it.

So with that said, here's a little code snippet that will actually redirect a bot back to Google that may be coming in from that "backlink" and in theory disregard it.

((( I couldn't place the code up because of restrictions, so the code is in the .txt file. Just copy/paste that in your .htaccess file and change the "domainname" to whatever the domain is )))

Here is the code, if this would be help someone.

    RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERRER} domainname\.com [NC]
    RewriteRule (.*) http://www.google.com/ [R=301,L]

It see if the Referrer is the the domain that you hate, and it will redirect the visitors to Google.

Well, with this code, all visitors will be redirected. Amnt I right? You should just send the bots back, and not the real visitors.

I guess if someone were to click on the link from that "bad" site, it would redirect them.

I guess in this case you could make a "trash" site, and have the "domainname" go to the trash site which would redirect back to the main site....lol.
