I did the Amazon to eBay dropship method for over a year and was able to sell pretty much any product I wanted after testing different ways of selling. I found some great selling items using this strategy, my best one being a £5 profit after fees that sold 5 times a day minimum. That's £25 a day off one item, perfect for new comers looking to get into IM.

I'm sharing this now as I no longer do this method because I was banned from ebay (I got lazy and started refunding through eBay. When refunding don't let ebay know just send the money to the buyers paypal). I could buy a stealth account but I am moving on, hopefully to better things.

I'm going to assume you already know how the method works so we can get straight to it. If you don't read Lewy2k's thread here.

    Finding the products

There are a few ways to go about this, many go with the list as many as possible and see which ones sell which is okay but I advise against automation software as I haven't seen a good one yet.

Another is finding other drop shippers and using terapeak to sort there best sellers which is good but they are often low profit items that are being sold. This is a nice way for those selling in quantity but more products and more sales means more of a headache for me so I try to keep number of products low and profits per sale high.

My way of finding of finding items that sell at a high profit (£4+ after fees) is similar to the second way but instead we look for the drop shippers that are selling items at bigger profits, this means you might have to scroll down a bit but once you find the dropshippers that are selling at higher prices similar to us you can then start sorting there best sellers where they are likely selling at high profits so you can replicate their listings. A very simple change but makes a big difference.

After I have found some items from these specific dropshippers I search it in eBay and see if it's worth listing by checking how many sales the top 5 listings if it's a good seller I look to see if it sells at that high price consistently. You can do that by clicking the amount sold as shown in the image below.

    Listing the products

Okay, this is the important bit. As you already know there are hundreds of other dropshippers and for each product there are many listings that are the exact same. It amazed me that none of the UK dropshippers made an effort to stand out from the other listings (probably because they were all using automation software) so that's where I came in and snatched all of there sales.

Download Paint.Net or something similar and create a bright border then stick 'NEXT DAY DELIVERY' at the top in a big font. This is what will make buyers want to choose your listing over others and it is how you can price your item higher.

NOTE: In the UK, Amazon prime offer next day delivery. In the US I think it is 2 day delivery, if that's the case then put that, the fast delivery is your main selling point so use it.

In the description at the very top I bigged up how fast the delivery was again, how I offered free return refunds with no questions asked and how good my feedback was. I then copied and pasted the items key points from the amazon page into bullet points and then copied and pasted the item description.

For the title I just made sure the keyword was in there plus other popular keywords I think they would search for. Most of the time I would copy and paste the best sellers listing title and switch it around a bit.

    Pricing the Item

One of the factors I believe eBay uses to rank items is sell-through ratio, the amount of views to sales the listing has. Knowing this I would make my listing the cheapest for my item as a lot of buyers on ebay look for the cheapest option, some will even use the sort function from lowest price to highest.

After 3-5 sales your listing should rise in ranking and if it's a good selling item it will get these sales within a couple of days. What you want to do now is keep increasing your items price by around 50p every couple of sales until it reaches the point where you notice it isn't getting as many sales, then you can lower it to the optimized price. If the optimized price gives me £3.50 profit after all fees I will keep the item in my shop.

Do this same method for all items you list and you will start making money very quickly. I haven't seen this part discussed on here but it works very well.

    A few points...

I only sold items on ebay that were priced £10-£25. I thought this was the best range to sell from as the lower priced items seem to sell better on ebay and it meant I didn't have to worry about refunds. I could just refund someone and not worry about losing a lot through fees.

A good way to get listings up after you've got the method nailed down is to hire a VA to copy and paste the title and description into your pre-made listing template. Just give them the amazon link and title for each and have them copy and paste the image into your stand out template and copy and paste the description into your pre-made listing template. I think I saw someone on Upwork paying $10 for 100 listings.

If you follow lewy2k's method and use my strategies to sell there should be no reason why you can't earn at least £50 a day with this. People on this forum think way too much into it when it is the easiest method out there.

Don't PM me if you have any questions, post them here.

You got banned because of multiple refunds doing this method. I'd say that's something you should go into more detail with for people who want to try this. It's a pretty important factor don't you think?

He got banned for doing too many refunds on eBay, as eBay used to count refunds as an automatic defect. eBay changed their policy and does not do that anymore as long as customer initiated refund is processed without customer having to call in eBay or Paypal.

Yes I used to just send money to there PayPal but one day I had a lot of items ordered when it was out of stock and marked all the orders as refunded on eBay thinking it won't matter, became a below standard eBay seller straight away.

When you say thinking way too much are you meaning on what to find to sell on ebay from amazon? I purchased profit spy and have been listing items for the last 3 weeks in US dollars at prices that would make me $4-5 profit if they sell and haven't sold anything. I have put free shipping, expedited, in my listings and have put in as much detail as I can in the listing itself, but still nothing. I have tampered down on what I am putting on ebay because I can't afford the listing fees when nothing sells. How do you get over this "thinking way too much" on what will sell and won't sell? I have listed toys, coffee and coffee makers, vitamin supplements, kitchen items, bathroom items. Any suggestions?

Yes, people over thinking what types of items to sell is the main one. Truth is pretty much every category of product sells. I don't look at the item and think if it would sell I'll look at the listings and see what sales and prices it has then decide if it would sell.

I know it's not what you want to hear but using software and just listing whatever for $5 profit isn't going to get you anywhere. Type one of your products in eBay and think if you were a buyer would you choose yours over the guys at the top.

Still don't understand how you narrow down to find the items. You just say 'copy other dropshippers' but you either need to already know other dropshipper's usernames or the specific items they are dropshipping so thusfar it is a chicken or the egg thing.

Can you elabourate on how you gain the first thread as to what or who you are looking for because your current explanation assumes you already know your way around the block and know what or who to look up; which people just starting in the DS game like myself do not.

Sorry for jumping ahead a little.

Finding other dropshippers is incredibly easy, go to amazon, find an Amazon Prime product in the £5-20 range, copy and paste the title into ebay and all the ones with the same amazon image and description are your dropshippers. Type "Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Perfect Prep Replacement Filter" into ebay.co.uk now and you will see a huge list of dropshippers. Once you find one you can go into their store and find a whole new list of items that you can copy and paste into ebay to find a whole new list of dropshippers.

For the example I shown above, on eBay you can see the top sellers are selling at low profits then as you scroll down you see people selling at higher profits, these are the dropshippers you want to target. Although that example probably isn't the best as it is very competitive.

Hope that makes it a bit clearer.

What do you use to make sure items don't go out of stock on amazon while listed on ebay? As I've been shy of posting more items now since I lost £2.80 because of that issue and the more items I list is the more likely it will happen again until I get it sorted.

Someone said keepa in the other thread but that only alerts you when a price drops on amazon not when it goes up or goes out of stock.

I didn't use anything as it didn't happen that often and wasn't that big of a problem for me, first time it went out of stock I'd just remove it from ebay unless it was a good earner then I'd give it another chance.

Hey, thanks for posting this. I've just started and I have a limit of 10 items that I can sell per month, do you recommend that I list 10 items with 1 quantity each until I can increase my limit? and what quantity number do you recommend once I have a higher limit on listing?

    Thanks.

I would list one of the high competition products at a 50p loss so they probably sell within the day or the next day.

On my old account I could list a lot so I would start new listings at 5 and proven sellers at like 10-15.

How often did you make new amazon (prime) accounts? I assume amazon has banned you for reselling several times.

First, I want to say thanks again for your reply on my other thread, now another question for yourself; you said previously, ebay banned users for refunding their clients(the same way you got banned). In the future (if you do/continue) this again, how would you approach the situation of the amazon user being out of stock of an item and someone already purchased it from your ebay store?

Also did you make an eBay store? or just post listings?

They don't ban you for refunding a customer, obviously there are going to be refunds but if you refund too much and are higher than a certain percentage of refunds to sales then they will put your account in below standard. Every time the stock went out of amazon I just made up an excuse to the buyer and sent them money through paypal, I just got lazy and refunded everyone through ebay one day that's why I got banned.

I made a store yes but it isn't required
