    Hi,

Some time ago someone got my password and access to the server and installed a file that redirected certain sites of mine to a warez forum. After cleaning it out (the file) the requests just keep coming for that file. I spoke to the host and they said it is probably listed somewhere on a search engine and not to worry as the file is gone. However, is there a way I can make use of that traffic. For example, can I make a redirect in my htaccess file so all requests for the file g somewhere else. To maybe a landing page I can make or to bum up some site stats on my other sites or maybe something else. If it does involve a redirect can someone explain how to do that in the htaccess file or in my cpanel?..Its about 1000 requests a day

    thanks

Put that in a .htaccess file in the root of your domain and change the relevant details. Voila!

    Code:
    Redirect /OldDir/old.html http://site.com/NewDir/new.html
