    Hi,
I know most businesses have a business plan, i didnt have one when i built my last website - coinish (dot) com
Basically, the website has general info and links to different bitcoin websites, but what brings in most of the traffic is our mining calculator, which is known to be the most accurate around.

I knew that building such a calculator, and perhaps other tools that i planned to build, will bring alot of organic traffic and ofcourse natural backlinks.
i never built a single link to this website, but am getting new links to it naturally, which also helped getting a good place on the search results.
so anyway, i am getting between 400-600 visitors a day, many of them are returning visitors, most of them are using the calculator, about 10% go to the homepage to see what else is there.

Currently running Ad$ense that brings in a whooping $1/day or less, i dont expect people who mine bitcoin to easily click on ads anyway.

So i am looking for any advice, feedback, ideas, collaboration possibilites that you may have for me, on how to improve and most importantly monetize this website.

    cheers ;)

A number of trading platforms are offering individuals the opportunity to trade Bitcoin CFD's, some these platforms have affiliate programs with CPA's in the hundreds of dollars. Plus a major exchange today announced that they were going to launch Bitcoin trading through a well known trading platform, expect lots of affiliate opportunities popping up soon.

Not that i know anything but sounds to me that you not really research what type of vistors you have you should be looking at your typical profile customer and than researching which site they hang out at?! the monetization would come easier :)

Phirex, will you PM me? I have a new bitcoin related site and have already made a little revenue. Not a ton, but it looks like things could really pick up with the right promotion. If you'd like to discuss monetization methods, marketing techniques, or just toss some ideas around how we might be able to help each other, let me know.

I think you got a winner. You're providing a free service that helps people make money. This kind of service converts very well into donations.

(One specific idea is to say that you're quitting your job to work on the site and ask for the minimum wage in your state, then put a donation thermometer on the site to ask for $1200/mo. or something from your visitors, i.e. full time minimum wage. More transparency increases donations... you can still go on earning from other sources, and you will have 40x more earnings than AdSense if you get the thermometer to fill every month.)

Obvious other specific idea: accept donations in Bitcoin.

Another related idea: accept donations of old hardware and mine bitcoin with it or pawn it.
