I have an iPhone app that has over 3.5 million downloads and, from these downloads, have had over 225k people opt-in to receive emails from my company (our TOS allows us to send them any types of email... the only restriction is that it must come from me). So, my question is, how can I monetize this??? The users of my app are 60% female and 67% teenagers.

Also, if you specialize in email monetization and would be willing to manage this list yourself, I'd be willing to work out some sort of agreement where you get X% of the profits as long as you make at least $X per month, or something like that.

    Thanks for your help!

The app is an entertainment type app. My analytics company is great and has detected the "personas" of 92.5% of my users based on their actions in my app and other apps using the company's analytics (over 50% of iPhone apps do). I have attached the personalities of my users below so that you can gain some insight on my users' interests.

Guys, I am completely new to this whole email marketing thing (I'm an entrepreneur/developer). Could anyone here give me any idea of the value of this list? I have had people tell me that it can be worth over $1 million if monetized properly, but this just seems too good to be true. Or have I just been super lucky in being able to get such a valuable list without even really trying to do so (lol)?

One thing to note: I am currently getting about 500-1000 new signups per day, but I could probably increase this by 50-100% if I wanted to.

Last thing: I can't PM on here because I just signed up & you have to have at least 15 posts to do so. If you want to talk to me privately about monetizing this, please post your email on here & I'll contact you.

Ugh, HOW?!?! Omg, I've been growing this list for about 9 months now, but have done nothing with it! I guess that $450k in lost revenue (1/2 of $900k since the list's average size since I started it is 112.5k, half of 225k) won't really matter much, though, if I'm making $100k a month :)

Also, everyone, PLEASE don't PM me about helping me monetize this... I can't PM yet. Just post on this thread about how I can contact you, and I will.

Watch out for people who are messaging you to assist you in monetizing that list, they're only after the list. It is a VERY valuable asset, it should be well protected from people outside your company.

I agree with above post. Don't EVER give the list to anyone. If someone will offer some guides or anything else thats something else. Again keep the list to urself and yes you can make a lot of cash.

Yes, of course. Anyone who offers to help me monetize it will only have access to an account that can send emails, but not actually view the list. Also, all revenue generated will go into my accounts that the person managing this list will have readonly access to. I can pay either weekly or monthly.

elviswong, I'm currently set up with Mail Chimp, but I haven't sent any emails yet since it would cost me over $250/email right now.

If your privacy policy is overly restrictive real list managers won't touch it, and only 225k downloaders isn't too exciting in any event, especially given that over half could be teenagers and roughly half (or more) will be non-US. Your best bet is signing up with an email service provider that doesn't mind a little cleaning, and signing up with a list broker or two and a couple mailer-friendly CPA networks that's not all burn offers. If you don't want to do any work you might search around for online communities where mailers congregate and outsourcing list management.

Ask them to send you nude pics...

    ahhm yeah...

anyway you could send the offers for free make up or beauty stuffs, those email submit offers usually pay 1 - 1.5$ / lead and you could earn some nice cash.

Or you could send them trial offers for beauty and health products which pay a lot more but requires a user to input his credit card.

Ah, so you're actually asking for somebody to pay for your mailchimp account. Sounds legit!

No... I never said this??? I would never sell this list of emails. I'm just looking for someone to either manage it or provide me with information of how I can monetize it.

And to reply to your other post, I have over 225k EMAILS, not downloads. The number of downloads is irrelevant. Also, well over half are from the US, so I'd appreciate it if you'd stop making false assumptions about my list.
