I just bought a site that gets about 17k visits a month. There are about 8k registered users that can all be emailed via the admin panel of the site.

    Alexa rank is about 40k.

So you can see there's a lot of traffic and a lot of potential here.

How would you guys monetize this site? I've got access to CPA offers, Clickbank, CJ, Adsense. What do some of the more experienced IMers think?

What kind of CPA offers do you think would convert? What kind of CJ companies should I apply to?

Any and all advice is welcome and will be thanked.

I would stay away from PPC ads because users of social bookmarking sites tend to be ad-blind. Overall, you should integrate advertisements into the framework or content of the site. Personally, I'd offer sponsored bookmarks that appear at the top of popular search pages or on the front-page for a fee. If an advertiser's bookmark is on the front-page it will look more natural rather than a banner advertisement, and users will respond better to a well integrated advertisement. Just my two cents, I hope that helps you monetize your property.
