    Hey guys

Im acquainted with the owner of a very popular football club forum, here in Portugal.
He manages the forum and it's related media exclusively by passion, which allowed Im to gather a very engaged audience, that respects him and the entire project.

Alongside with the forum, he gathered 170k facebook fans that give the page an average of 2000 likes per post (up to 10k in some posts).

Now, he is not an IM guy, or even someone that understands the 'how to make money online' concept very deeply, he is just an ordinary guy that really loves his club. With this said I believe I could help him get some money out of his work, and also make some for me has a 'consultant', however, in order to do so, I would like to hear from you guys and your experience on how do you think this could me monetized.

    Thank you very much
    Have a nice one ;)

Seriously your going to charge your friend consulting fees and you have no idea what your doing
You more than likely will fuck up his forum and his passion

Making money from a forum involves work, and you don't seem to have much interest in doing this

Perhaps if you done some research and came back asking us, if this will work, we might be more willing to help you

Thank you for your replys guys.

-nanavlad he is not my friend, his an aquintance, i know him from the forum.
I'm a newbie that's true, but I'm not an ignorant or a lazy person, that's why i posted here, i want to learn in order to be better suited to help him. Im not a liar also, so if I'm able to make him make money that he wouldn't make if it wasn't for me than yes i believe is fair to receive a share from it.

Now, i know it isn't easy, and a main reason i created the thread was to learn and receive some tips from you, more experienced guys, that maybe manage forums in the same niche.

I've read some post here, mainly those dedicated to sportive blog/sites, but their monetization seem's to be more oriented to the betting niche, and i don't believe that's a good approach as this is a day-by-day report of the club life, the environment is like a group of friends or a family.

I thought about creating a 'shop' tab where he could offer licensed official products with discounts, do you think brands and the club would be available to do partnerships to offer discounts?

And how do you think he can monetize images and videos (that he uploads mainly after match day's) without compromise the image he created of the forum ?

"watch football online" those sorts of affiliate deals. Still plenty of people who pay for that stuff.

Hey redisred thank you for your reply, i haven't thoug about it.
The members of the forum are very informed about where to see football online do you think that will be a problem?
And how do they really work?

Maybe creating a section where he puts a link to every club game or games of interest. How could that be perfectly monetized without creating problems with the owners of the transmission rights?

Run a betting comp, few links to bookmakers, they pay decent money for referrals.

Think about putting some ads and if you are capable of offering something create a membership plan. With the earned money reinvest some to grow even larger.

This may be the perfect offer for you and can convert as hell, go to "Odigger" site and do a search for "Bring Me Sports"

Make a website, possibly a membership site for live football streams for that individual club and use links to live streams from sites such as Wiziwig. Do wait until matchday to see what streams are listed, if its Benfica, Porto or Braga it wouldn't be a problem but other teams I am not really sure about the availability of live streams.

promote bookmakers and football odds, this is the best you can do, they pay 30% of player loses, you can earn a lot of money, your traffic should convert very well
