How to Monetize a 70K Account?

How much engagement do you get from 70k? How many likes/comments are you getting on your photos?
My best one so far is a Vine, and it has over 1,000 likes and 600 retweets. But link posts get much less engagement.

If you do not have time and money to make a site then i'd suggest to promote affiliate links like chacha and some other ad networks.

Have you tried shoutouts? It's a really old method but it still works if you have large amounts of followers like you do. Try to refrain from promoting things that would put your account at jeopardy since it's no easy task to grow a Twitter account to 70k followers.

Considering you said it's a 70k acc with only a few hundred in likes/retweets I'm just going to say that is horrible engagement for 70k that's a lot less than 1% engagement. I would recommend just selling the account because there is no way you are going to successfully monetize a bunch of fake followers.

That's Twitter...

They are real followers. You are perhaps more familiar with Instagram, where the Likes flow much more generously. But Instagram is lousy for driving traffic. This account can actually drive traffic.

I'm not sure where to find buyers for shoutouts?

Please Pm me the name of this account. I want to see if I can buy a shout out from you.
You can sell shoutouts if your accounts is active.
I read here that they use some networks , but I prefer that you think wise and join CPA and try" slowly"ز

How about drop shipping?

I bet there are tonnes of 'cute animal' related products on ali express. Throw em in a shopify store and occasionally tweet out a photo of a particular product with a tweet?

You might want to take a look at any popular twitter account. Accounts with 300k followers will only get 100-300 retweets. If you take a look at Kim Kardashian's twitter(49.3M followers) you can see her most liked tweet got 207,000 likes(2.2%).

Hey, I like the sound of this. Have you done something similar? Do you know if Twitter tolerates that type of post (linking to Shopify)? I know that affiliate links sometimes get blocked or ghosted, so I wonder about a sales link like Shopify.

Afraid I haven't! I'm relatively new to IM in general so I was just bouncing ideas based on what I've read on the forum so far. I think there was a decent post about using IG to promote a shopify store in the 'make money' forum a while ago but I can't find it now. If I see it again I'll link you.

I'd imagine Twitter would be fine with it as long as your actions couldn't be deemed to be overly spammy. Plenty of legitimate businesses use Twitter and IG to promote their brand. I'd say just make sure you balance out the advertisement tweets with 'normal' tweets.

Lake I say though, i don't have experience to back this up. Hopefully the more experienced members can provide additional insight!
