Hello guys, I recently started a website based solely on amazon affiliated products. I would like to know how do I market a website like this. I have read loads of info but most just tells me something contradictive to the other methods so its kinda confusing. I'm not asking for a spoon fed method I would just like to know where should I start?

    here is my website: videogamedealhunters.weeblydotcom

Before marketing, I would strongly suggest getting a "real" domain, and using Wordpress. I'm sure I'm not alone in suggesting that.

Seems to me you'll want to use Facebook to build a network of video game fans, and that should be very easy if you actively share non-promotional video game related memes.

Participate actively in video game related forums and other niche sites. You can build links manually and effectively that way, but it's not just about the links it's about the quality of those links and not spreading out spam everywhere.

All in all, looks like you have a great site and the way you broke down your categories SEO should be very natural and easy to accomplish. I don't know any gaming sites off the top of my head, but this is clearly something you're already passionate enough about to know... and I definitely think Facebook would help you too. If you hit 400 fans, you can offer Offers/Promotions, and at that point you should be able to afford offering an awesome video game package prize for some kind of contest that will bring you even more traffic.

Also, I'd recommend adding another section for blog posts so you can publish content like video game specific tips, tricks, walkthroughs, news, cheat sheets, etc. You'll want to add content valuable enough to make sure visitors want to return, know what I mean?

    Moneymo2018,

As mentioned by other members, I would purchase a domain name and start using a self-hosted platform. A CMS like Wordpress would be ideal but Joomla would work too. No matter what you use, it will be far more difficult to rank a website built on a platform like Weebly. You lose a lot of control over site architecture and user trust in the site by going this route. I would suggest doing these things first before any marketing.

After you have your own self hosted site with a custom domain, start by doing on and offsite SEO. Create social media profiles for the site and start pushing content through those channels. Try not to sell directly to people but develop a following and share useful information.

Here are some good tips on free ways to drive traffic to a website,

Here is another good piece on that subject,

    Good luck!

I guess you have removed the site, because only some ad links show up with this link.

I agree with others in this thread, subdomain and especially not your own domain looks unprofessional (this may make your potential customers thing that your might not be serious with your business). Depending on your budget, there are also out-of-the-box alternatives for Amazon Affiliate stores (at least for Magento). But at least you should use your own domain, and stand-alone shopping cart software or a CMS with a shopping cart plugin.

I have been in the amazon field for a while and will advice:

    1. Your site marketing begins right from your site. You need a high converting site, there are several amazon themes out there, check them out and see which one fits you need.

    2. Review - Get a good review written by an English speaking native, anything from 500words to 1000 is ok.

    3. SEO - You are going to need good targeted traffic to make sales. Rank for several keywords related to your products.

    4. List - The money is in the list, even in amazon affiliate site, don't underestimate it's power.

    5. Find high traffic sites like web 2.0, hubpage, EZA, press release sites and submit unique content related to your product, this will help you get traffic to your new site instantly and also make sales.

    6. Video marketing - Make a few videos about your product and promote it on your site, YouTube, Google e.t.c.

It's too general of a question. It all depends on who and where your target is. If your site caters to males 18-35, the answer is different than catering to people wanting to buy a home in San Diego.

And I wouldn't try to compete head-on in google with people who have far more money than you. It's like me trying to get #1 spot for airline tickets. Just won't happen. Need to know more aobut your site to identify the "niche".

For a website on video games I would go to where all of the young people are. Social media and youtube.

Since it is a gaming website, consider a flash game to keep bringing people back.
