    Your theme meta headers might be before the all-in-one seo headers.. view source to check it out.

    check the header for your theme has

    <?php wp_head(); ?>

    somewhere before </head> if it does'nt just insert that code and you should be good to go.

    I use the 'platinum seo' plugin and things work great...like it better than all-in-one (though each has a few features that the other does not)

    Actually, If you are using All In One SEO. It should be simple. Depending on your template, when you do a new post, either above the form or below is a form for SEO. If you want a different title and/or description for your post, writ it here. It will over ride your post title and description. You also need to check your SEO settings and make sure that "rewrite title" is checked.

    When some one finds your post thru Search they will see the title and description that you supplied.

    Works great for me. No coding necessary.

    Google in most cases will not show the meta description in the listing.

    If you want to tell the googlebot to use the meta description in the search listing then use this content in your meta robots tag.
    Code:
    <meta name="robots" content="index,follow,[B][COLOR="Red"]noodp,noydir[/COLOR][/B]" />

    Google will now use the meta description in its search listing. Of course it will take some time to show on google.

    The Platinum SEO plugin does this automatically.

    Hope that helps!

    You can also use the ******** plugin for wordpress. As to the description, I always see the description for my post in google search results. And if some one searches for the keywords in your post title and description, your post can show up within hours.
