Hi everyone, I'm a writer and I can usually make $10-$70 a day depending on how much I work. I'm 17 and I need to start saving money.

I had an idea that if I had passive income generating from a lot of sources, I could reach my same goal without doing much. If you don't understand, I mean like $5 coming from totally different places.

Anyone know how I can accomplish this? I don't really have any starting money :/

My first advice based on you earning $10-$70 per day writing is to ramp that up. How can you get more of that?
Second, use your writing skills to put into practice niche sites aka wsotesters or others in this forum....but that means 'investing money' to make money.........both mean some work.....but as the expression goes.
No bees, no honey; no work, no money!

Invest your money (from writing) into lots of micro niche sites and focus on ranking them and adding content.

When they are ranked high enough for a highly searched keyword (1000 exact searches per month +), then just place your Adsense code on them and you'll get a few clicks per day. Rinse and repeat.

Sorry guys, I wasn't really looking to do Adsense sites because I tried it once, and it was extremely difficult. It's just not my thing, I mean they're cool and all and I know I can do them if I really tried it's just I don't like them at all.

I wouldn't really know how I could ramp my writing up, I was thinking of paying for articles off of mechanical turk or something and then reselling them..

If you are doing well as a writer and you know what you are doing in that field then start finding other writers that you can sub work out to. You can then spend more time promoting your service and you will have time to use your creativity to promote article packages and niche writig services. You can try adsense mns sites but the results are hit and miss, if you concentrate on whats working for you results will follow

Writing and stuff isn't hard for me, and I'm a pretty decent writer. However I have school coming up on August 8th, so that'll take up a TON of my time. That's why I want to find something passive to do, which isn't really MNS because it's a very tricky area.

You can hand out the pharmacy drug discount cards, make a few hundred if not more a month, depends on how much driving you do

You are still in school and you are getting orders for your writing. How many of your schoolmates would be interested in doing some writing ? even if you were splitting it 50/50 you are still getting passive income.

I could do this. One problem is that most of my friends aren't TOO smart, and if they do show any sign of intelligence they'll ask for more. I'm not saying I'm some genius, but I'm very intelligent.

Should I turn to Mechanical Turk for workers to do the work while I'm at school or something? If so I don't know how I'd be able to manage them while in class. I work for a writing website, so it's random articles that pop-up. I've had no direct orders, but I've written 300+ articles.

If you opt to use cheap sources you will get crap that cheapens your own work. Obviously 90% of your class will be more interested in football and chicks than article writing but theres always a few guys in a class that can and will write and this way you will have more quality control.

Broaden your options from one article writing site. You will find the real money by writing directly for clients..once they are used to you and your work you can get out of the X amount of dollars per 1000 words crap. People that care about their sites are not scared to pay for quality content.

Maybe I'll work on building my writing profile in the website I work on, hopefully I'll get some direct orders.

What about other methods I could turn to? Any automated tumblr blogs or something I can do to make some extra money?

You keep asking about Mechanical Turk - it's not a good source of writers, especially not quality content.

The idea of reselling writing from fellow college students is great, but it's gonna be work, not totally passive.

Other than that, I have a couple of ideas for you - sending a PM

How about you write about a detailed report/guide that walks someone through the steps you take to make 10 to 70 dollars per day and sell it. Toss it up on clickbank, create a WSO etc. and let it rip. Then start getting affiliates to sell it for you and turn it into a passive income stream. Make sure you load it with affiliate links (quality stuff) and build a solid customer list as well as lead list that you can market to for the rest of your life.

Good luck to you... you're young... get this moving now and you can turn it into a solid business. Don't forget to create a kindle version, too.

Well, if you don't like doing MNS, why don't you JV with someone who does? You provide the content, they provide the framework, you both split the profits and the costs? Make a few new sites a week at whatever rate (1-10 depending on course load?) works. You don't sound like you're hurting for cash, so you can space the work out more, focus more on the learning and enriching your experience side.

Just find what part of site creation you can enjoy the most (guessing for you it's writing/researching) and find someone whose abilities compliment that. You won't make as much money at first, but if you enjoy it you'll be way more efficient than those who are dragging themselves through the motions day in and day out.

The bonus of this is that you can take a break from it around exam time, etc. and still be making money. In fact, even if one partner is unavailable for a bit, the project itself can still keep going forward for a while (just keep the work even, nobody likes to feel ripped off)

(was thinking of doing this myself, actually, but I'm fairly untrustworthy of other people... the shitlist has me worried)

^This is a good idea IMO, I personally have just started off in the world of MNSs and have started to see small net income. If you can find some one trustworthy with the right resources you could make some good passive income.
