    - Get a fast hosting.
    - Install (if you're using wordpress) a lightweight theme
    - Use minimal plugins
    - Use cache plugin
    - Use a CDN for your content
    - If using VPS tweak your http and database servers
    - ....

You can also do some load balancing if you're lazy, but it'd cost more.
Have multiple copies of your website on different servers, and have your domain redirect to one of the three servers. That way traffic is split.

But can someone enlighten me. Does that affect SEO rankings? Or is your website indexed by domain?

Cloudflare does not always make the site faster. In fact it can slow you down. Their purpose is to distribute your content more efficiently and to protect from DDoS. But depending on how much traffic you have it'll probably make your site appear slower if it has to fetch each page the first time,

Interesting, whenever I make the switch to cloud flare I get a slight improvement.

I have many other methods for making my page fast though, not just cloudflare.
