So I ordered (for the 4th time already?) 100 pieces of soap. They are all hand made soap, smell good, have a nice red/purple color to it. They are also rounded and not just squares of soap, etc. I also made a good package for them, its adult oriented.

I sell about 20-30 soaps a week through my website.
People go on my website, see the soap, buy it for $7.99/piece

That brings me to about $200/week on average
Around $800/month, minus the cost of the soap, and printing the packages.
I end up with around $600/month

Umm.. I... I don't know how to word this properly.. but I guess I can say is, "What can I do to make more sales ONLINE, and OFLINE?"

I was thinking about going to all the adult-oriented stores and telling them if they can display my soap and we'll split the profits somehow or something... no idea..

Any ideas? That would rock!

It's $7.99/piece

There is no way I can give out commission

Try doing a weekly contest on your website for a chance to win $20.

Add some software called "magic subscriber" to your site to grab targeted emails from your visitors.

If you're selling your soap through your website then surely one way to increase your profits would be to get more traffic to your website. What SEO have you done to get the visitors you're getting? Could you improve that to bring more traffic? You're obviously doing something right to be making consistent sales so just look how you can scale up what you're doing now.

Sure you can, it's just going to be volume-oriented.

You can boost income by making "bundles" that sell for more than $7.99.

So you sell adult soap too? What a small world :D
I have adult sites that sell bath & body stuff as well as the naughty bits. PM me, I'd be glad to put your stuff on my sites.
Anyway, the best way to increase your sales is to spread your product around. Submit your products to google base and submit your site to all those open directories.
Build free webstores everywhere that allows them. eCrater is just fabulous by the way! A lot of eCrater merchants link to Squidoo and the eCrater forum has an area for you to promote your other stores

I saw one guy in there that was a marvel, he had links to almost a dozen other free shopping sites he was on. eCrater linked to his Squidoo which listed all the others.
Crawl through every single one of the sites on this next list. Add your site, your products, submit for review, whatever.

Make Weebly and Squidoo pages to sell your soap.
Submit to shopzilla and other shopping engines. there are 2 I use (don't have the links here sorry!) where you find deals or fashion items online and recommend them to other users.
Shopzilla is very important. Get on there.
Make up a coupon or offer and submit it here (it actually shows up as a backlink! Go figure)

I have a bunch of other sites to submit to but not on this machine. I'll get them for you during the week.
To market locally look for high-end resorts in your area. The health-food stores etc are inundated with new prods and are more picky than landlocked gift shops I think so they're not really worth your time.

But some insanely exclusive joint is just the ticket. I used to sell bottled products to a place where I needed to be put on the list at the gatehouse just to get TO the delivery entrance. You want some insanely expensive joint with a too too twee gift shop. If people are paying $400-2300 a night They don't notice $12 for a bar of soap. The shop managers are generally nice people (in my experience) and like local or handmade type of stuff. Also they like vendors that will drive it to them rather than ordering and getting it in the mail.

And of course, plug your stuff in the comments on follow blogs and like that. Crawl yah00 answers and look for people talking about soap. Pitch your stuff on forums about skin issues and heathy living etc.

But good sales so far! You can def ramp up.

P.S. Use a keyword tool to get the top longtail keywords for your particular type of soap. Make sure your product descriptions are up to 30% composed of those keyword phrases. Concentrate on keyword phrases of 4 words. Make sure your item names are and product URLs are SEO-friendly. Hahahah! Thanks a lot guys!

Yeah, perhaps I'll show you guys the site in a bit. I'm renovating it, maybe in a week I'll have the design and the buttons ready all over again and then show it to you. Its... ADULT ORIENTED, but not "For Adults" lol. You'll see...

I was thinking of making 30 second YouTube commercials. I have an entire film crew who'll do all the filming and editing for a case of beer, perhaps I'll do that.

I like sites like that. Im working on site that would go great with your niche so maybe we could exchange ad space to generate more traffic. Pm with your site and maybe we could work something out.

Yee Cruzer, for sure bro! When my site will be redone (to look better) I'll send you a PM right away!

.. if any of you guys have any other ideas? That would be awesome

This is some solid advise for anyone selling physical products online.

xSpyderx, whats up dude! Didn't talk to you in ages LOL! :P

Yeeee, I didn't make any money with CPAs and Clickbank. Maybe it's because I didn't take to much interest in it. I always thought, and still think of people who do CPA offers are a little 'sleezy' (sorry if I offended anyone) its just they are trying to use 'tactics' and 'sneaky ways' to get a hold of people entering there emails and information in hopes that they will get something. Which they can... but after filling up 5 offers, 2 gold offers, 1 silver and 1 platnum offer, and the list goes on and on.

So no one really wins that "laptop" or that "iPhone"

So I moved to something more legit and something that actually has value to people. So I opened up this 'soap' thing. It doesn't even sell different kinds of soap LOL! It just sells one type of soap with ONE flavour and ONE package design.

Also in the future (Year or two from now) I want to open up a flower shop and a yoga studio. I don't know ANYTHING about flowers or yoga, but the money is INSANE. But I am in Graphic Design Major, finishing my last year, so I want to do something related to graphic design that I can do online.

Subscriptiion websites rock! But I am still debating on what kind of subscription I want to do! -- In a sense... what they people will be subscribing for...

So you already sold to these people?
EMAIL THEM quarterly ( every three months ...not every three minutes )

Go to Amazon.com and look for soap similar to yours.
On Amazon they tell you "People who bought this also bought ..."
So you just notice what other products HIGHER PRICED ONES you can sell to
the customers you ALREADY had pay you!

Then the low margin soap becomes the low-price self-liquidating offer
that you made JUST to get the buyer's email to give them the bigger offers.
Especially now before Xmas ...c'mon ...do this!!!!
