Hello,
For several years I have been making tutorials on cracked games for my youtube channel, now the channel is coming up 8,000 subscribers and I have been making next to nothing with my hundreds of thousands of views because most of most my videos receive limited or no ads.

I've created a website on Squarespace, bought a domain for it, and put ads on it but reading up more found that AdHitz, who is currently displaying the ads, sometimes just never pays out which I don't feel like risking, I would much rather use AdSense although I'm not sure how I would make sure to get approved.
What do you think my best approach is?
Would I try to make the site seem innocent or as long as the site doesn't actually have torrent magnet on it am I fine?

Thanks for any of your help :)

Almost completely forgot, I'm looking for ways to make through CPM/CPV/PPV, not through affiliates/per click, I know AdSense is the best but do you know any other networks that pay for views not clicks/actions/affiliates
I get lots of viewers but most just want the download and don't have the money/method to buy stuff online.

So your website is about crack game download?
Yes, although people won't actually download from the website, it is just a magnet link that loads into Utorrent where the game downloads from there, People watch my video, click the link to my website with hopefully adsense ads, then an ****** link to the actual magnet, the website itself will be more info and just a way to monetize traffic

AdSense not allowed these type of sites

No shit, but they said same shit bout my vids, still like 5 were manual approved when they about cracked games :p
If not adsense what would you suggest?

Check your competitors what ads network they are using

You're probably looking at this from the wrong angle. Why do you specifically want cpm?

You are getting hundreds of thousands of views, with cpm you're probably going to average between $1 and $3 per thousand views.

I can tell you from personal experience that if people are searching for a cracked software or game they are extremely targeted when they hit your video.

Why not just send them to a blog post with instructions on how to download the magnet, but just content lock it and make them complete an offer to get it.

If they are mainly tier 1 and highly targeted you should get at least 10 conversions per 100 clicks.

You're looking at $5 - $10 for those 10 conversions. So if we compare your potential earnings from content locking and cpm ad views for the same 1000 visitors you're looking at....

Cpm 1000 views, let's give you a very conservative $10

CPA 1000 visitors, 100 conversions $50 to $100

Work smarter, not harder. By the way you can literally split test this with a link rotator.

Set up two pages one with ads and one with a locker on and send 1000 visitors to each in the rotator.

See which performs better. It will most certainly be CPA.

Hope this helps

I'm using OGads to content lock my site right now but what I don't like is how little gets converted or how most my viewers are from US and yet barely have conversions, total so far I've gotten a little over 300 conversions but with only a 12.8% CVR, alot of the offers done by people using my site only pay 5 cents, I would much rather CPM, CPA is paying me about the same as CPM because only 12.8% of people are converting and actually getting through. 100,000 CPM views vs 12,800 CPA converts (mostly paying 5 cents)

I should be able to use both CPM and CPA though, just don't know any decent-paying ad networks that'll accept me, currently using popads which was paying bit under $1 a day but has dropped since content locker currently overlays website, I know I can create a locker that doesn't overlay on my website and on it's own site but I feel most viewers will just dismiss it as an ad, unless I could make the content locker up custom with my channel logo and explaining how the locker works :p
Site still has very limited games on it while im working towards a solid foundation for what ad networks to use and all that :)

So you are sending people from YouTube to your site and locking the download?

I've done pretty good with this myself, basically what I do in my system in steps is.

Let's say for example I am creating a niche around Sims 4.

1) Download sims game torrents and test them on my pc to see if they work.

2) Find the one that works and save the torrent file (not the game files).

3) Uninstall the working Sims 4 game from my pc.

4) Set up a blog page about Sims 4 and lock the download button for the torrent file.

5) Screen record myself going through every step to get the game which would be like this:

5a) Download and install uTorrent, explain a little and why we need it.

5b) Visit my new Sims 4 blog post, click the download button and complete an offer until the torrent file is unlocked and downloads. Explain that it costs a lot to run a site and keep all these links updated and games tested and working.

5c) Open the torrent file and get it downloading in uTorrent. Explain a bit about how torrent downloads work and what's happening.

5d) Open the finished download folder and install the Sims 4 game and start it up so that they can see it working.

So as you can see with my set up everything they will be doing is covered in the video, they even see the exact page on my blog that they will land on.

They see that they will be doing a survey or downloading an app to unlock the file.

Literally everything they will need to do is recorded and set up exactly how it will look for them.

Doing it this way there is absolutely zero disconnect within the process. It will probably drop your impressions a lot with people who don't want to complete an offer after watching your video.

But that means virtually everyone who clicks through really wants the game and are happy to follow every step you have in your video.

Your clicks to conversions should be much higher, if you are doing exactly as I have just explained above.

You could even force everyone to complete 2 offers, also which is going to double your earnings.

If those are your stats from setting something up exactly as I've just explained about how I set my videos up I'd be looking into other areas of your process and testing them.

My first would be to test another CPA network because a simple switch could be all that is needed.

Set up an identical page on your blog and add the new network, then use your current page with ogads and new page with maybe cpalead.

Add them in a link rotator and use the link rotator as the link in your video. Send 1000 clicks to each page and see which converts better.

I don't really have any info to help with cpm because I'm pretty much a CPA guy haha

If anything is unclear above, just leave a reply and I'll help out, it's early morning and I'm still half asleep.

Hope this helps buddy.

Use a content locker.
U could make at least 10$ per 1k views

He is already using ogads mate, see his earnings screen shot a little further up.

If I was getting 1000 visitors to my link I'd be expecting $50 to $100 minimum and that's with a modest 10% conversion rate.

Much higher with a high quality video showing everything from start to finish, should really have conversions over 30% easily, probably closer to 50%.

Put it this way probably half of the 392 USA impressions would probably complete the action on one of my videos.

If he is using games it can't really be his keywords and targeting because people searching for whatever game he is providing are highly targeted when they reach his video.

It could be that his videos could be a bit more high quality, at the minute without seeing anything that would be my guess.

People these days are lazy and need everything spoon feeding to them and you really need to be explaining everything in great detail in a high quality no holds barred video.

Here's two examples that both give the same outcome for the lead but massively different results in earnings.

1) I record a 2 minute video with just a picture of a GTA 5 screen shot and a robotic text to speech voice over saying visit the link in the description to download the game.

2) I record a 25 minute video showing me personally downloading everything and setting it up with my own voice explaining everything you need to do including completing an offer.

As you can see the final outcome is exactly the same, they will all get the game in the end but the second video is much more informative and believable.

Especially in a world where thousands of people just post scam videos that give you nothing.

But like I said it's just guess work at the minute because apart from knowing he is sending traffic from YouTube to a content locked page we really don't know how his whole system is set up.

My system works for me, i used to show people the whole process but that just wasted time, especially mine when people dont watch most the video anyways, might try some other content lockers but i'd much rather go the CPM route, any recommendations for ad networks, (already got popads)

No worries mate, like I said I'm no help when it comes to ad networks. Just not worth my effort compared to CPA .

Well it could be with massive views however I find it way easier and much more profitable working with CPA.

For instance say I have a few channels and one is sending thousands of visitors and most of my ad income comes from this channel.

YouTube wipes the channel out and most of my income is wiped out.

Now I have to build back up to thousands of views. Or I can just build moderate views again, count on getting 10 conversions per 100 visitors and make more.

Good luck anyway mate, you sound like you are doing great. Stay consistent and I'm sure it will slowly build to a nice income for you.

I'm getting bit under 80k a month currently, i sometimes get vids taken down but ive legit requested manual review for all of my videos and someone who works at youtube for most of them said nah mate no ads for ya and then like 5 that miraculously they actually put ads on, manually... Seems only the companies who own the game can complain and take down the video, i've been doing this for years not as a goal for money but to help others
