Hey there guys, Zangar93 here.

I've got a question for you all: I always read your awesome threads and stories about how (and how much) you manage to earn with your niche accounts. Now I want to ask you if it's possible, trusted, and suggested, to try to get money with a personal account.

Here are my account details:
- about 2 years old
- 1k likes per pic, often 1.5k (if it can't reach 1k, I usually do something to reach it with apps and websites)
- about 20 comments per pic
- I'm a "model", the kind of model of instagram, I basically do cool pics with nice outfits etc.etc....
- I already worked with some local indipendent brands (which gift me stuff to wear in the next pics)
- I already worked with appStore apps, which paid me small amounts, from 15$ to 60$, to post a pic of me using their app
- I'm not Brad Pitt... I mean, people follow me because I'm "goodlooking", but not that kind of superbeautiful guy
- I already use MegaBot to keep growing my account, with about 100-150 followers per day

I've never thought about selling shoutouts, due to the fact I've got not as much followers as you. So I definitely don't know how to use my image to earn more.

Can you guy suggest me something? Should I start selling shoutouts? How? Is there another way?

Thank you so much BHW community
Regards
Zangar

Develop yourself into a brand, cover all common social media platforms amd mske a portfolio website. After that you could look for an agent and tell him you are already building quite the crowd of followers, and ask if (s)he would have you under their wing and start finding you modelling work. If you like doing something, go for it.

Thanks for your answers Mr., seriously! But I basically wanted (that's my bad, I did not specify it enough) suggestions about how to make money ON instagram :)

I already know all those stuff you said about growing social medias, getting an agent etc. I'm just looking for something to earn some extras like many guys here on BHW do!

Again, thanks for the answer tho, I appreciate it!!

UPDATE: I managed to sell a 1hr shoutout to a niche "menfashion" account, but all the other I asked literally ignored me. Any advice on how to ask if someone wants to pay for a shoutout seen by only 17k users???

It sound quite rude saying "hey sup wanna pay me to get 30-40 followers?"

Sometimes DM'ing or commenting a pic of potential client is the easiest way to communicate with them. Otherwise, email/kik them if they have it available in their bio.

Thank you Mr Paper-Boy (also for developing Instagram Mega Bot, just perfect).

Do you suggest me to do a "direct speech"? Like: Hey I saw your page, it's cool blablabla [...], I provide cheap shoutout, do you want to be featured?
I can't really imagine other ways to tell em!

I date a "beauty influencer" and she has similar profile metrics to what you're describing. I can tell you she has connections with multiple marketing agencies that recommend her to several brands they represent. The agency then negotiates a price for my gf to feature the brand's product in her posts (she also has a blog component). These features typically run ~$200 per deal.

Also, she gets invited to exclusive VIP events just for being in the local "influencer network" (i.e., basically a bunch of fashion bloggers who know each other). She gets paid ~$50/hour just to live tweet/post about the event.

In terms of ROI, I would recommend reaching out to brands that fit within your niche and wrap that into your content. They are starting to pay nicely and all it takes is some emails.

Other than that you could always sell a private label product related to your niche (e.g., high-end bracelets) and drive people to your site via your bio.

If you send DM's to people who are not following you, then your messages end up in a different folder like on facebook. It might also be the reason why you recieved a reply from only 1 company/account

I would say, try famebit. There you have many offers per niche that you could promote with a personal account:)

You can't register on Famebit using your IG profile, so that's no good. OP, can you send me your IG profile on PM, I've headed to the same direction as you with my personal IG and want to follow your journey.

You should definitely look into creating your own online portfolio! There are lots of fashion firms hiring full time models to sport their brands, for designing their products and for various many other purposes. The pay is decent. Look into that, if you've nt already. Best of luck bro.

if you're a hot girl it's very easy to make money with a personal ig account. agents and people pay you to look hot and post pictures, all while you get more and more followers lol

I've started to do my personal account as a somewhat 'personal brand.'

I've lucky in my niche that I've been able to go on contract with certain brands and companies, and while it's not paying the bills, it's certainly made my life a lot better! I've started charging for sponsored posts and some photo shoots.

I'm definitely on the lower scale of influencers (I have 25k followers) but I'm in a niche thats now only started to become more saturated with females doing similar to I am (I'm in a male dominated niche, and no it's not a hot girl niche, its more sport and lifestyle). So I've been lucky that I've been picked up as an ambassador by big brands and companies. I probably gained around $10,000 worth of product, free trips and cash jobs just in the last few months.

My advice is play towards a certain niche, and make sure it's actually already your lifestyle. I was doing my currently life style for years before my instagram grew, so now products I'm given or the jobs I do are incorporated into that, so it's really just taken my normal lifestyle to the next level. I'm hoping I can take it to the next level again which I'll be working on over the next few months, as I've noticed I only have one or 2 main competitors in that range.

Also in my opinion, shout outs seem to go a bit weird on personal accounts. I've found unless I really mask mine with the content (make content very relevant to my account and be able to tie the shout out in without making it too forward) then my followers don't really dig it. But thats just what I have personally found!
