I have a community website that is not dedicated to a particular niche but wanted to keep it as a Social Network. Most of the content is text-based like Blogs, Collaborative Pages, Questions, Polls, and Discussion Threads.
Wanted to check what can be the best way to monetize it, because currently there are very less users, and it seems encouraging new users to join is not working.
Everyone is so busy with Facebook and Instagram that a small Social Network based on text is not that much engaging. Any ideas how to monetize a website like that?
I even had functionality to verify users just like Twitter, so thought of initially approaching people and asking them to create their portfolios there, but it is kind of complicated as no one seems interested in the first place.
