not a bad idea - I always bet on elections, and can't ever remember losing
who are you betting on?
I can't believe Romney has those odds against him... 187% return
For being an MIT student he seems a little arrogant and stupid at some things. US citizens can gamble online you just need a foreign address and non u.s. currency bank account.
I'm an aussie - so don't have much of an idea whats going on in US politics. But usually I follow the money. (in an election 2 horse race - the favourite nearly always wins)
In gambling the best situation to be in is one that you cannot lose. Elections, like cricket, have wild swings in favouritism. I try to get myself in a situation where I'll win whatever the result. The last Aussie election resulted in a hung parliment, it was that close, but in the leadup to it I managed to get $2.50 and $2.60 on both sides respectively. These prices can swing on the results of a debate, or even a good soundbite from one of them.
Use betfair rather than bookies - the markets are much more volatile.
