How to make money and not be depend on social networks and other platforms ?

Hi guys. Few days ago Google ads banned my account , I don’t know the exact reason. I also have account in Facebook, Etsy, Pinterest and other platforms.
Is it mean that all our internet business depends on somebody decision ? If one day Pinterest and Facebook decide to ban my account there, I will loose my income in these platforms. How to be? How not depends on platforms ? I like internet business and I want continue develop it further, but I am afraid that one morning I wake up and my accounts are banned.
You can say, create and promote own website, that’s good idea yea, but how can I promote my site without Google ads, Facebook and etc? Only SEO? ( advise me something please .
Btw, BHW is a good type of business when you are not depend on other. You have domain , you have traffic, word of mouth and Seo(I this case you depends on Google yes), but in general it’s a good idea.

Just one idea here, but if you have your own website you can run an affiliate program, and have others promote your site links/products. Like if you were a Clickbank vendor, sell through the channels of others.

You can use the social media accounts of others if you use a micro task sie, and get them to share, or make a thread here in HAF and ask for people with high social media accounts that can share your site with a certain hashtag.

Thanks . That’s can be a good idea, but At the moment I don’t have a website, but I really started to think that a website it’s the best idea in Internet business. Not social networks accounts, Etsy, messengers… all of these it’s when you depend on somebody, I really don’t like it!!!
So I really want to invest money to the websites. Need to think what kind of websites. Any ideas ? ))

Just find something that resonates with you to try. There is no such thing as the first website you build working well, so best build one after the other until you nail it either in design, niche, content, or marketability with backlinks.

I'll share with you something that made me buy a domain for a website idea. I HAPPENED to watch a programming video from one of my fav YouTubers,and they discussed building a clone for the website. When I searched the domain in adwords it had a 100k search vol a month,

So instead of copying the website's name, I spun a funny twist of an idea into the name, and bought the domain for 10 bucks. I'll probably have paid $20 bucks for the 2 years fees by the time I get round to programming and finishing it, but I have a tutorial for the project now, and I need to change the content that I made specific to the twist. The niche isn't very easy to expand from, but for a tutorial that is 60 mins long, and will take me 3 hours probably to reprogram my version, 5 hours to re-graphic the content. I already pay for hosting so have that in place.

(10 hours + $20 domain + $50 hosting = opportunity / 100k search volume) * 100 = 100% I think I should go for it! lol make your decisions like that, and you'll find you just have to stick it out in the land of opportunity before you strike diamonds!

You need to make your own brand! You can be an independent brand that doesn't even depend on Google SEO, but building such a brand takes time and money. You also have to create value. Once you create value, people will come and pay you. You don't have to beg them. For example, does Instagram need Google traffic? No, because it's a brand itself.

That’s a good advice and example! But as you can understand I don’t have such money and talent to create something like Instagram

You can make smaller brands that work just create value by solving problems and use your time instead of money . time = money

Start building your own email list, over a period of time once its large enough,

it shall generate you solid traffic.

You can't be 100% independent on the internet. That's just the reality of it.

Influencer Marketing.
HARO can be useful.
Forums and online communities specific to your industry niche.

SEO is a good choice but it's not easy in 2023 you need to have patience with SEO.

Focus on brand building to reduce dependence on any 3rd party platforms.

Wish you lock..

You should try Taboola or Outbrain traffic - I've never heard of anyone being banned there.
Buysellads can be another source of traffic if you are willing to pay the fees.

What is HARO?

No one has experiences get traffic from MEWE or substack ?
Does your facebook posts seen to more people when you have a personal page instead of business page?

Downside is with that you can't use your branding name like your domain name on the personal page, so everyone in the world and google seeing your real private name and data.
On the FB business page you can use your branding name and renting virtual office address (as example) but your posts are very limit to seen by the audience.

You will always depend on other platforms whether you make money online or offline. But you can reduce the dependance in certain professions like where there is scarcity of professionals.
