The thing is, the main keywords of our e-commerce website are currently ranked around 13 and have been repeatedly hovering between 12 and more than 20 for half a year. You also know that there are many strong opponents on the first page, such as Amazon. We also made a lot of blog content and built backlinks at the same time, which seemed to have little effect. The question I want to confirm is, for e-commerce websites, does building backlinks have a greater ranking factor for keywords? Blog content doesn't seem to be of much help. How do we make progress toward getting to the first page?:confused::confused:

Backlinks are one of the major factors in ranking keywords especially, Improve your site's overall user experience and relevance to the target keywords, Build backlinks of quality and make sure they're related to what you sell.

Do Rank for related KW - Keyword closely related to your main Kw,

On every major update, google Update category ranking. Make sure to Get it done before that.
Your Target Should be category authority in your niche.

Yes, you can try creating backlinks in sites that are relevant to your niche like where you can create stores. E.g. bigcartel etc.
And can mention your store in communities where you products are mentioned.

Relevant and authoritative backlinks have a more significant impact.

With your existing blog content, try to interlink each other. And yeah, Backlinks do have a greater impact on ranking for every type of site. Try to build niche-relevant backlinks for your e-commerce store.

Thanks for your advice. The products we sell are very segmented. When choosing a niche market, we can only classify it into the technology market. If we choose something related to our products, it will be very difficult to build backlinks.

Thanks for your advice. Our category is very niche, and it is very expensive and difficult to obtain authoritative backlinks in the corresponding field. How to go ahead?

Thanks for your advice. Our products are niche, so the corresponding blog content always lacks popularity and content support, which is indeed distressing.

On-Page SEO Optimization:
  • Ensure your product pages are optimized with relevant keywords in titles, meta descriptions, headers, and product descriptions.
  • Optimize product images with descriptive alt tags.
  • Improve website loading speed for a better user experience.

You can invest in SEM

Most ecom websites run paid ads.
What does your competitors do, check ther sites.
Run the ads and see what happens. Google give free matching credits to run ads.
People's who tell you to build links and and blog posts to an ecom site are youtubers, course sellers, content writers, seos and backlink sellers.
They don't have your best intentions in mind.
So start with checking what others ecom sites in your niche are doing.

Backlinks are vital for e-commerce sites. I've worked on e-commerce sites stuck in the same rut, and a combination of high-quality backlinks, stellar content, and a flawless UX often led to breakthroughs.
