ok i found this on another post while searching for a few answers.... he was telling the guy thaty this is the format for making an ebook automatically download from your site.

    Code:
    <a href="http://www.m*y*site.com/name_of_pdf_file.pdf">Type name here</a>

Remove the **** above. That should work if you have the file in the root of the domain.

If you have the file in a folder use:
    <a href="http://www.m*y*site.com/foldername/name_of_pdf_file.pdf">Type name here</a>
is this saying that if i have an ebook to sell, i can point a link to the folder and it will automatically call the file and begin to download??

can someone please explain because i have been searching way to long for the answer to be this simple hahaha:eek:

Do you mean by auto-download on page-load ?

If so, place this in the header of the page :

3 means the number of seconds to pass after the page has loaded before the download will start.
while URL_to_document is the location of the file on your site.

    Example:
    Placing this code
in index4.html means you will be auto-downloading name_of_pdf_file.pdf in 3 seconds when accessing index4.html

    I hope this explains
