That's not how it works.Nono, no. The lap top is my ledger nano external wallet hardware thingy. I guess maybe I would buy a hardware wallet if I didn't have a free lap top. But having a free lap top I can use just for this eliminates the need for buying a hardware wallet.
If you use a laptop, your private key stays on your laptop, which can be accessed; if it gets hacked (yes, linux can have virus too.. so can mac).. BUT, if you use a hardware wallet, your private key is ONLY saved inside the wallet. Get it?
