I read somewhere that it is possible to have a bot running while your computer is off. Something that has to do with VPS or something within those letters.

At the time it wasn't so important to me, so i didnt really grasp the information. But, not it would be useful. So does anybody have some intell on what i am asking about?

Purchase a VPS(Virtual Private Server) it's like a 24/7 computer which you can access once you purchase it.

yes you need to have a VPS for sure. Otherwise, it is like running a nuclear power reactor without uranium.

If you manage to achieve that without VPS - get yourself ready for a Nobel prize. :)

Obviously it needs to run somewhere, so what you mean is "how can I leave a bot running somewhere and be able to turn my client computer off?"

Looks like you're new here and need to know more what actually a VPS is.
Check this article, it might help you out.

You rent a Virtual computer and run the software on that.

Make sure you get a windows VPS and that you can connect via remote desktop.

You only be able to get windows server 2008 or 2003 (legally).

It's just like a second computer you own, but you connect to it and control it via the internet using remote desktop connection. Check out the marketpalce, there you can find plenty of members offering VPS for a low price. Just connect to it, install your bot and leave it :)

you won't get win 7 VPS for cheap, rather look for a cheap KVM with win 2k3/2k8 ISO at LowEndBox/LowEndTalk or BHW sales section.....

Appreciate all those who actually helped.

I clearly stated that I DID NOT KNOW WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT.

How can you format a question correctly and with the correct terms, when you know very little about what you were talking about.
And, yes.. I'm sure the the question was formatted so poorly that nobody understood what i was asking.

So, how do you ask a question about a topic you know very little about?
