Hi, after being an affiliate for a bit, I was wondering if any of you guys have tried launching your own clickbank product?

How do you go about promoting your new product and gathering affiliates? What is different from promoting someone else's existing product?

I guess the big question is, how do I get hordes of affiliates working for me?

If you can point me to any resources, that would be great. I haven't seen many ebooks, posts, or other information on doing this.

    Thanks for your help.

You want to offer a high commission, at least 50% but preferably more. I've offered 90% in the past because I knew it would generate thousands of orders and those customers would now be in my database to follow up with for future products and offers.

You also might consider joining a couple of joint venture networks. This way you can prelaunch you product in front of more serious affiliates, and they can tell you exactly what they want to promote you. Here are a couple

Forums are good for prelaunch affiliates to but you'll get a lot of people who just want a free copy. Make sure you only talk to well respected members. Everyone says they have traffic, most dont, so just focus on the people who everyone knows are serious.

If you get a few decent affiliates, word will spread, and your clickbank product will be first page. A lot of times if you just pay $50 to clickbank to get your site up, you'll just fall to the back pages where no one will see you.

The highest selling products often pay a commission of 50% - 75%. Make sure your graphics are catchy and your sales letter is lengthy. Web 2.0 is the thing of the day so try to make your site very boldly web 2.0-ish. Get some information on Affiliate Elite. I think it's in the download section. Make your product graphics visually appealing and make your sales letter lengthy and detailing. That is all I can say for you to get affiliates. I don't promote products that have nasty fonts alone so I can imagine other affiliate marketers hate promoting nasty sales page products too. They will promote it even if your e-book is just starting because less competition equals more profits and that's what they will be thinking even if your e-book is just starting to take off. But nobody would bother with nasty designs.

Your product should pay out 75%. It's more of a standard nowadays than 50%. When I look for products to promote, I look for high payouts and high converting.

So if you want to attract those kind of affiliates who can move your product, pay them dearly.

The money isn't made on the front end afterall. Never is.

In addition, you'll want to seek out someone who can bring you an initial surge of sales - that way when affiliates are searching for the next big thing to hit up, they'll see you on their radar.

That's the tried-true method of Clickbank Product Launching.
