How To Know the frequency of Google Spider Come My Site?

i have a blog with at least 10 year old.

every new content i post, I can see quick get index.
(i don't really monitor how fast, but within few hours I can see it indexed)

yet how can we find out how frequence it come? (i mean search engine spider/bot)

Assuming my older post which already index before, will it come to crawl again? and how frequence?

(reason I ask this because some "expert" say older post, the spider will come crawl more frequence compare to new post)

("expert" also advice every new post we make, find a related topic older post and do internal link to this new post so that the spider (frequently) come to older post and able to crawl new post via internal link) Which I a bit doubt on this statement

thanks for sharing, now I can monitor if really google bot frequently come to visit my older post

Is there a reason you want the old posts to be recrawled frequently? If they do not change then there is no point in that.

i do not have any specific reason, I do agree that it no changes, there will not bring any impact even spider come to crawl.

i just want to prove that the statement mention by the "expert" is valid.

It's not. Posts are not going to get crawled more often as they age. That is not a reason for more frequent crawling at all.

I monitor a few day using this plugin.

1. I realize the record does not stay long, is sort like only show latest 20 record.
2. I also realize some post, the bot keeps repeating visit.
3. I see the bot visit my older post too, I would say is averagely visit my old and new post.

I wonder is it because of internal link?

Depends, tarantulas tend to visit more often than other species

1. Yea it's a free plugin, can't ask for more
2. That's normal
3. Internal link it's definitely one of the factors to index pages/gaining link power/boost post
