    Hey guys,

    a little background about me:

I am RadiantDarkness - most well known for my Ranking Blueprint, Tiered Link Building Commandments, Case Studies, as well as my Spam. Own local agency in US, Affiliate spammer, Big Brand site developer and Social Media Die-hard.

One thing I get asked a lot is, "How do you do social media? I never seem to get any results from it"

The answer is rather simple - most people believe that when they push their products on consumers that they should immediately fall over backwards trying to buy everything they sell... The problem is without a focused demographic, content specific for that demographic, and a group filled with like-minded individuals you're going to have a tough time using it correctly.

The biggest problem is - How do I get the right people to like my Facebook page?

What I do when I start any campaign is start a giveaway on Day 1. This could be a $20 visa gift card, $20 amazon gift card... For some of my online gaming brand sites I push steam giftcards, gamestop etc... The more people you have and the higher dollar value the item is the more likely you will be to have something get very popular/viral. I have one gaming site that now has over 80,000 Facebook users that are ACTIVE and constantly reading what I have to say on a daily basis because 4 weeks in a row I had a kickass $50-100 giveaway and continued as I made more money with the project.

In doing so I make sure people have a vested interested into what I am trying to promote and if done correctly it can go viral and build you a solid foundation to start off your campaign.

When you make this giveaway post you need to include the basic rules and follow the steps below:

    1. To be entered in the drawing you need to like/share this Facebook Page with your friends.

    2. To be entered more than once you can also follow us on Twitter/G+/add your email to the newsletter/ and retweet (Link Here to Both)

    3. I like to tie this into a blog on a site I'm working to monetize and send some nice traffic and get these numbers up.

    4. Drop this on a niche specific forum/subreddit/Youtube video/Blog and start pushing traffic to these giveaways.

    5. Now that you have a handful of people liking your Facebook page it's time to start using Facebook ads.

    6. Use appropriate images - beauty niche better be beautiful/pretty. Athletes - better have muscles/Weight Loss better show skinny people and so on.

    7. Get inside the mind of the consumer of this product and make sure you do your due diligence. My Video game site is geared towards 14-25 and I absolutely kill it with that demographic. Do I still have the basement dwelling 30 and 40 year olds? Absolutely... but I know my audience and seek them out daily.

I use Facebook LeadChef to scrape users from other SIMILAR/NICHE SPECIFC Facebook pages and then filter them accordingly. This allows me to get a very cheap CPC for the ad and know that I'm not just sending ads and wasting money on every Joe Schmo out there. Targeting is by far the most important aspect of any ad campaign.

Rinse and Repeat this often - the most important part of this is STEP 4. Finding those traffic source to help cross-promote and kickstart your efforts will help leaps and bounds when you end up sending that traffic back to the page you're promoting.

Good Luck and if you have any questions that I can answer I'll be sure to.

    -RD

Have you had any serious success with this on reddit? How many facebook likes have you converted?

There are quite a few ways to lower CPC's... If you know you're going to be using that FB account for a longtime you want to keep it as relevant to your interests and target audience as possible. Looking for high converting ad copy/pictures can take a long time, but that's the only way to lower CPC substantially. So there are a few ways to do it which can also help you in the long run.

Find those viral cat/pet pictures/videos/memes. Scrape user ID's of Facebook groups related to that such as "funny cat pictures" or something like that. Even if your target audience is for blenders. Send an ad directly to them where you know they're already looking for those pictures/videos etc. This will increase your CTR and lower your CPC on Facebook ads very quickly.

Thanks Anthony and a lot of times it's just building that list slowly and getting a solid foundation early helps you get dedicated fans on a daily basis.

Looking at campaigns like dollar shave club, viral nova, upworthy how they re-use others content and absolutely kill it.

Reddit is a two edged sword. You can get incredibly lucky and push traffic forever in certain subreddits where people aren't looking to just downvote at the sight of someone trying to leak traffic. Or you can get the subreddit assholes who have nothing better to do than tear you down.

Along with the forums, videos, etc... without reputation or trust you're going to have a hard time converting these people. When I sent people to these giveaways they had a "REASON" to go besides some cool video/blog article etx.

Reddit Converts rather well into email lists, facebook lists, Twitter... Keeping up the quality once you hook these users/readers is also important.

I send out weekly/monthly newsletters thanking all of my new subscribers/readers and making them feel like they're on the cutting edge of whatever I'm doing. People are programmed to be drawn to things that make them feel important. That's why some people think it's hard to market to marketers. If you do traditional marketing absolutely, but being creative and thinking outside the box, testing, and split testing will only help you upping your revenue and conversions daily.

Keep em coming! I've got you guys.

Remember that when you're pushing any product tailored towards women that pinterest holds them closer than anything...

Just putting your page on Pinterest/Stumbleupon can auto-pilot some solid traffic as well... If you promote on pinterest or understand it then you will have another solid traffic source.

The amount of traffic from YouTube video leaking is substantial.

Just ran an update on two of my younger age demo Facebook groups...

Scrape an entire other Facebook group related to yours... Spend around $100 and start a giveaway and enjoy the results :)
