If you have been in the internet marketing niche or are looking to getting involved, then you should know that forums are a great way to generate traffic or sales. What makes forums so useful? Forums, most of the time, have an enormous amount of people, concentred in one place and common interests, interests which we can tunnel into niches. What if you could get them to click on your affiliate links? More sales! Or direct them to you website? More traffic. Depending on whichever case yours is.

Imagine the potential traffic you could be getting from this. Now you get an idea of why forums are really useful. I will lay out exactly how you can do accomplish this below.

    Step 1

First things first, you need to find forums related to your niche/service. It is actually quite simple to do this.
    ØGoogle

This step requires you using Google search to search for forums related to you niche using a text pattern or string.
Visit Google.com. After it’s loaded up, type the following search term or copy and paste it in. Whichever way suits you best, but make sure to change the text where necessary.
    Code:
"niche" and then "forum" in google
    Example = affiliate marketing forum
or better still, you could use this:
    Code:
    inurl: "niche keyword" forum
Side Note: Make sure to replace text where necessary!
Let me break this down a little. The first part of the codes requires you to enter your niche or market keyword. The next part tells Google search out sites which have the word forum in them. In all, Google searches for websites with that text string, bringing back the very results you're searching for.
Quite simple. Now to the next method.
    ØThe Website Method

There are various websites that are made simple to search for websites related to a patter. These websites help you do the job of searching for niche related forums and also act as directories for them. It’s a sort of "yellow pages" for forums.
When you visit them, what you are required to do is enter your niche or market's keywords, and it pulls up matches from its directory.
    Step 2

Now that you have found your forums, you create a profile and start posting: creating threads or replying to peoples threads. You can post articles where you put links that go back to your website or to your affiliate using your affiliate link(s). Some forums allow you to use signatures.
Signatures are very awesome marketing tools. Anywhere you post, anything you post, your signature will always be there, (that’s why it’s rightfully called a signature!). They allow you to put URLs and descriptions. You could put a string of text and then layer it with URLs. So anyone who clicks on the text automatically opens the link.
    Cool right?

    Conclusion

Now that you know the usefulness of forums (and their importance), join some right away. Remember to never spam cos you could get banned (not that you can't create another account :D). You can also decide to only use forums that allow signatures.
Participate, be an active user (you don't have to reply every post, or post your own articles every day, you know what I mean right?), the traffic will come, the clicks will increase ;).

I posted this with a little extra, wonder why it wasn't published. I guess it's not allowed to post other websites here then...
