I have a 260K+ Twitter account. I want to know how to hit 1M+ followers quickly. Is there a specific niche? The account has been converted to a fitness account as of 2 days ago and I'm getting 20+ RTs on each post.

I'm looking to turn it into something like @Historyinpics and monetize it likewise. Any ideas?

If anyone can help, you guys are probably the best to give me an answer.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello,

you mean real followers, I suppose ?

Do you know sponsored tweets ? You pay someone who has a big twitter account in your niche to tweet a message writtent by you.

You could try to find people who have a lot of followers in fitness and health and see if they are interested.

Or, you can make Guest posts on blogs about fitness and health witj a link to your twitter account.

Thanks Christian B, yes real followers. The 260K I have at the moment are real followers. I would prefer to increase them on my own rather than pay for help. This might work at a later stage, but for now I'd like some tips I can do myself.

I'll keep your advice in mind in any case.

    Thanks!

If you're getting 20+ RTs on each post then you have about 240k fake followers.

Another idea: you are a man or a woman ?

If you are a woman, I will say only one things: Jen Selter.

And if you are a man, good luck.

Yeah because everyone knows that unless you're a fitness model then you won't get followers. :stupido:

Anyway, the best method is going to be contacting similar accounts and trading Retweets/shoutouts. Unless you can get some bots to inflate your numbers, though, then you'll most likely be trading with 50k follower accounts. That's fine, it takes time to grow.

But, why not convert the accouunt now? Accounts like @historyinpics, or general comedy/quotes accounts have much bigger audiences than fitness accounts. Plus, those can be more diverse than fitness accounts. People aren't as likely to follow multiple fitness accounts as they are to follow multiple picture/comedy/quote accounts, especially since the latter can have little variations that make them seem different. That's not really the case with fitness accounts.

I'm sure being a famous fitness model with an ass that would make Sir Mix-A-Lot lose his mind (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYyd0dvNNXU - best song of all time?) helps with a lot of things, I just don't see how it helps Squats achieve his goal.

Some good points here, however something doesn't make sense to me about the @Historyinpics account. The very first tweet got 118 RTs and 198 Favorites. How did they then get to 1.81M followers (in about 6,000+ tweets)? Seems strange and I don't understand the virality factor of their account. There really isn't much except for photos and text. I mean we can all do that, can we not?

You can start a fitness campaign meme, something like Who Won't get fit.

Ah, that's because the account is run by a company called Social Trends Media. Over all of their accounts combined they (allegedly) have over 100million total followers. Whether that number is accurate or not, they do have tons of accounts with millions of total followers, and that makes it really easy to build an account that fast.

Skadoosh offers some good points, although I would recommend keeping the account within the Health niche. It's fair easier to monetise than something like Historyinpics.

I have a number of accounts in the health niche so if you need a hand drop me a PM with your Skype ID.

You're absolutely right. Monetizing in the health niche is insanely more profitable than something like historyinpics. I only suggested changing because the question was how to build to 1m+ followers, and while the health niche is great for monetization, it's very saturated and hard to grow on Twitter.

Seems like you have a lot of fake followers. My tweets average 40-100 interactions (rt+favorites) and i have only 6k followers.
