There may be many reasons behind it, first of all have to improve your on page and you have to optimize it. Then you have to build quality backlinks, link your site to high authority sites having high DA and PA. I think forum profiling will help you in this. Article submission, bookmarking, press release are also necessary for this. If you can do, guest posting will give you good boost in ranking.

It's not quite clear what you have been doing to improve your rankings. (Next time, if you want to get some good advice, you should take some time to describe the situation better

) For now, consider these questions:

What kind of content do you have? Is it quality content? Is it fresh?
Is your website "healthy"? No 404s, missing alt tags, redirects, etc.?
What is your keyword strategy? Have you tried changing/adjusting it?
How long does it take your pages to load?
What's up with your links? Do you link out to authority sites? Any broken links?
How user-friendly is your website?
etc. etc. etc.

Once you have an answer to each of these, you'll get a much clearer picture of what needs to be done and, hopefully, you'll be able to reach that sacred first serp. Good luck

Apart from the last answer where I feel clarity is required, if you're on the 12th page, then it's most likely also that you're lacking sufficient backlinks (assuming the keyword you're targetting is reasonably competitive)

You need to do something to get rank that I have shown below :

~ Must check the ON page SEO and fix the errors if any present.
~ Check the backlinks if it is broken or not. If yes, remove the links and do build more links on your niche relevant guest post blogs or PBN networks.
~ Share your main keyword articles to the social media. Because it drives more traffic to your site.
~ Submit your site to the social bookmarking sites. And also use the comment section in the blogs that highly or nearly relate with your niche.
