    Hello all,

I've been dropshipping from Amazon to eBay for about a year now and had around $xxx, xxx income during 2013 (which was only for 8 months of the year) and I learned a ton. I'm a top rated seller and have huge selling limits thanks to things I learned on this forum.

Many people think you can't dropship from Amazon to eBay, but no one ever tries it for themselves. They just claim that eBay will ban you or Amazon will ban you but I'm living proof that it's entirely untrue. What else do they say? They say that you will get bad feedback... well I have 100% Positive feedback of over 1000 transactions that proves otherwise.

Out of everything I've accomplished and learned, I've decided I want to improve what I'm doing. I kind of left this method on auto-pilot, keeping only 75 items listed at a time and focusing on college, but I want to increase my efficiency... The obvious choice is to scale up and list more items, but before I do that I want to increase my ROI on each item.

Lately I have raised the amount I sell my items for to see if they will still sell but net me more profit per item, but I feel like there are additional things I can do.

If you have experience doing what I'm doing or have experience with eBay, let me know what some things are that can help to profit more on each item.

    Thanks in advance!

During your time on ebay, did you get any assholes who said they didn't receive the items even when it was shipped to them? If so, how did you deal with it?

Never had that happen. As long as you provide proper customer service and ship in your stated time frame you won't have these problems.

What did you do to solve the Amazon marked box problem? Not buy FBA or from Amazon directly? Tell customers that you do FBA?

Who said it was a problem? I don't know what the marked box problem is.

I really was just looking for advice on how to build my business but it looks like no one has any suggestions.

I have a few tips you could consider.

    1) Get Amazon Prime

    2) Use a awards credit card. (Screw amazons BS credit card.)
American Express Blue Cash Preferred: This is what I use to get 6% off all my amazon drop shipments. Its a little trick. This card gets 6% cash back on all supermarket store purchases. So check the website to find what supermarket near you is supported by the program. Most supermarkets sell amazon gift cards. I go to the store and buy $1000 worth of amazon gift cards and use those on my amazon account. This improves my profit margin by 6% witch is hudge!

    3) Partner with a high volume amazon associate. The percentage of commission a amazon associate gets of each sale is determined by the sales volume of that person. I partner with a amazon associate that already gets a very large percentage commission. I buy all my stuff from his link and he sends me a check for 50% of the total commission i generate.

    4) Track every shipment to ensure it arrives when it should. If a shipment does not arrive on time call amazon and complain. They will credit your account.

    5) Offer cheap 2 day shipping, but not free 2 day shipping. On my ebay listings I offer free "Ecomomy Shipping" Or you can upgrade to 2 day shipping for only $4. The people who don't pay for shipping will still get 2 day shipping but a large number of people will pay for the 2 day shipping getting you an extra $4 for that sale.

    6) Make sure you are using the proper eBay store for your listings. google (ebay store calculator) to find a calculator that will make sure you are not overpaying for your ebay listings.

    7) Reduce you paypal fees. Google (Paypal's Merchant Rate Application Page) and click on the first link. Then find the tab that says "View All Discounts & Fees" Sence you and I are over the 100K mark you will have to call. They wont give you thease rates unless you call or apply.

    I hope this helps.

There really isn't anything to say except find items with higher margins/cut costs and scale up. You're already making solid revenue. Do you dropship through the third party, non-FBA merchants on Amazon? I guess that's the question I'm asking. Amazon marked boxes seem like they would be problematic.

But if you dropship from amazon the guys who bought your items see the amazon bill in the box with the price YOU bought it or am I wrong? How can you directly dropship from amazon then?

Well congrats on searching threw the 10000's of products that you could of possibly dropshipped! That must of took some time filtering & sorting! Well done!

If I was you and I built that small empire I wouldn't think of scaling up just yet; I would carry on with eBay as you are making some decent money from it, but instead I would built a ecommerce site and SEO the shit out of it and of course structure your products into categories for the ease of use.

Once you have built that site you can begin SEO, once you start getting sales your profits will rapidly increase due to the sales increasing CTR on your site & average time spent again boosting SEO.
Also you will cut out the eBay fees so that's another 10% profit.

Also I would optimize your eBay listings, getting them to #1 spot on best match. Keep an eye out for the eBay section as I will be releasing some top tips!

Once they are at #1 you can slightly increase the price = more profit :)

At first it took a little while to search for good items to make a profit on, but at this point it takes no time at all with my experience. I am not very good at SEO so spending the time to learn just for a sales site would not be worth the 8% extra (I'm a top rated seller).

I try to optimize my best but being a top rated seller does most of the work for you with showing up at the top of the search results.

    Thanks for the info nonetheless.

Any type of product you could ever think of. Most times very popular items aren't good to dropship because of MC999 issues or not a large enough profit margin due to competitors who have a connection with the company that produces that item.
