    Hey guys,

As the title says, I want to improve my English.

I live in Georgia, non-english-speaking country, no one speaks English here, only a few ones know it.

Yea, my English is pretty good, I can write, I have no problems with grammar.

I can speak English as well but I want to get on the next step and improve my English to a professional level.

I used to speak English, but since my American neighbour left I have lost every chance to get that experience again :D

So, what's the point, I can write, I can speak but not like a random American.

I used to read advanced books with 3500+ words, they were too simple, registered at busuu.com, got the highest score there, and in skype conversation a guy was asking me stupid questions like "Hello, what's your name", "Where do you live" etc etc ...

Someone suggested me to watch movies I have watched a few times on another language I know, or movies with captions, is it a good idea? I've not tried it before.

Speaking with BHW guys helps me a lot but that's way too far from professional English :D

Long post but a simple question : I want to speak as good as a fuckin random American guy, what do you suggest?

Have you considered moving to an english speaking country for a while? That'd be the best way to learn.

    This is a good idea.

However, if you need to be fluent in English speaking with an American accent, you need to talk to someone who speaks the language natively.

Machinelord has a very good suggestion if you can't travel to an English-speaking country.

I've had a lot of contractors that speak English as a second language tell me watching American tv shows such as Full House and Sesame Street helped them a great deal. Download these show and sit in front of a few a day.

Watch movies and TV-series on English and without subs is the best way to go, and also it's fun :)

Sitcoms and Movies and reading NOVELS is the best way to learn english ! but to be good at it is not only by experiencing them but should be good while conversing in it , the best is try to find out any english speaking person even if his bad just for the sake of it just talk with him , eventually you both will develop some good reading and writing skills all the best :)
