    Hi!

I am not really sure where to post this thread, maybe in Making Money, maybe in Programming... I really don't know, so I will try here just because is the closest topic.

I have been for a while programming apps on Fiverr (not basic apps like change name and image from template and delivery, full apps coded completely by myself).

I have been able to earn a moreless stable income every month, I have few buys but for high prices (related to typical Fiverr prices).

But I feel like I am spending too much time for a little quantity of money (related to usual prices for developing apps in other markets) since Fiverr clients don't expect to pay a lot for anything.

I have thought about provide the same services on other sites like Freelance or Upwork but I have found it is almost impossible to get clients if you are new there.

So I was thinking if you would have any advice about how I could improve my business strategy. Should I keep trying Freelance or Upwork? Should I stay on Fiverr and just keep working hard with the hope to reach top rated seller level and get more clients with a good budget? Or there is another option?

    Thanks in advance!

What os apps are you developing? And my suggestion would be for you to move to more expensive sites as you've mentioned. Try to pick up your best portfolio pieces and don't be scared to raise your price if you know that you are capable of making decent applications

I am developing for Android and iOS (but mostly of my sells are Android apps). I think try to go for more expensive sites is a good idea, the only thing is it seems almost impossible. For example, in a app development offer in Freelancer, you can find 3 top rated users offering to develop it for 1000-2000$ and hundreds of small users offering it for just 50$. Usually they hire top rated users but in the small possibility they give a chance to a small chance for a new user, develop since for just $50 is less profitable that continue doing the same on Fiverr. That is why I feel a little lost.

Feeling lost is not doing you any good. Just give it a go, register on Upwork and complete a few courses/certifications to prove that you've got the required skills. I'm not competent enough to talk about the pricing, but for starters try charging somewhere in between those super cheap offers and the high end offers. E.g if the top offers are $2k and low offers are $50 try to set your pricing at around $1k mark. People who buy these services usually know the price/quality aspect ratio.

Just put yourself out there and try it. If it won't work, hey at least you've tried and you could stop feeling lost. It's either you will win or you will learn.
