    Noobs these days...

There's one right underneath the Home button just below the forum logo. It's called New Posts.

To answer the OP's question, the only way you can ignore these threads is by not clicking on them.

    • You can always hover the mouse over the title of the thread which will show you about 20 opening words. You can decide then if you want to read it all...
    • Sometimes other members rate the thread low and that shows the "rating stars" next to the thread title
    • Sometimes the title tell you that there would be boring stuff inside
    • Sometimes the member who is the creator of the thread "tells" you that (s)he has created some boring stuff inside
    • Most of the times you just know that you'll find boring stuff inside
    • Sometimes you know there would be boring stuff inside, but you simply click on it, read the whole thread, and do the same again (read the entire boring thread) when the thread pops up again in the "New Posts" list
    • Over time, you learn to ignore them just like that!

There is no other easier way, IMHO. :)
