I want to hire an SEO. needless to say, I dont want to waste my time with things that dont work.
I am not looking for anything safe, I am looking to rank for some time, bank, tank, repeat.

I have posted jobs on odesk twice now but every time I get so frustrated. All the bidders say the same shit "hello sir, I am an seo specialist. I do ethical SEO which is safe with panda and penguin. I will submit your website to high PR directories, forums, blog..."

now you might say "look at their feedback" I did, but the 5 star feedbacks seem so forced. it looks like the buyer is trying to avoid a negative SEO attack on his site. "good work, but we had to end contract due to unforeseen circumstances" or "good work but we had to end contract because of conflict with my business partner" things like that.

I am looking for someone located in a third world country who is cheap and gets results. Like I said I am not looking for safe SEO, I am looking to rank, bank, tank, repeat. whoa I cant believe those three words rhyme, I didn't do it on purpose.

Anyone know how I can find such freelancers quickly? Like I said, I believe such people exist out there, but I dont want to waste three years going through 100 of them to find a few good ones.

its piss easy! just ask them the most competitive kw they have ranked. If they say crap like "buy a cheap bike in new york usa" then you get a clue...

For that talk with them and ask about their SEO strategy, Talk to references and view past work examples, Ask for an initial technical review of your website.

You're not going to find what you are looking for on Odesk. Odesk is for "grunt work" SEO meaning things like manual web 2.0 creation, blog comments, account creation etc. Things that can be easily taught by following simple steps.

Basically it's for what I call "supplemental" SEO, ie it supports your SEO campaigns. It's not going to be an all-in-one solution you are looking for.

The SEO you are looking for actually requires "intelligent" SEO work, meaning people that are keeping up with all the latest trends and knows how to rank websites. You're not going to find this on places like Odesk, Freelancer etc.

For what you're looking for you're best off in the BHW marketplace.

Use common sense man, if someone on Odesk could do what you're asking they wouldn't be begging for jobs for $2/hr on Odesk.

Homeboy above me speaks truth (Gyuman82).

If anything I used his services and they helped my ranking (non-affiliated, my honest opinion).

Start with BHW instead odesk unless you need a contract. I saw good reviews here.
