How to I fix the URL?

At the moment I have my domain:
Mydomain.com redirecting to mydomain.com/wordpress

Is there anyway to just make the Wordpress at mydomain.com?

When you're installing wordpress when it asks for the installation details (Database prefix, Domain, Path, Admin user, etc.), you need to change the "Path:" from the default "/wordpress" to just your webroot "/".

If you already installed it and want to just change it "on the fly" then you'll need to move everything from "/wordpress" to "/" and then go into your mysql database to search and replace every instance of "/wordpress" to "/".

There's a lot more potential for errors changing it after it's installed though. The best way is to deal with it during installation.

Keep it short, here is what you should do.

Move all your files from yourdomain.com/wordpress to yourdomain.com

Go to Phpmyadmin, select the database you created for wp, and go to wp_options table. Edit the site url and wordpress URL field and you are done

If your site has a non-www and www version of all your URLs, you?re going to be splitting link value for the same content between two URLs. Rather than capturing 100% of the link value on the page you want to rank in the search results, you could be doing a 50/50, 60/40, or some other kind of split between the two URLs
